White Lighter Myth.....

OK so im not very superstitous but i find this one myth to be very true. So the myth is that a white lighter is bad luck. OK first ill tell you a story relating to me. ok so at age 17 i began smoking cigarrettes (now quit) i was using a white lighter and was caught by my grandmother. this was a moment of bad luck but i have always had bad luck when using a white lighter. So i was reading up on the 27 club (of you dont know what that is its celebrities that died at age 27 mainly musicians). I found out the main deaths being Kurt Cobain, Janice Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrisson were all in possesion of a white Bic Lighter supposedly. Thats just odd to me.

i've heard the myth, but i dont believe it. i am decently superstitious person at times, but this is one thing i dont believe in. i've had many white lighters in the past and have not had any bad luck while owning them.

the closest thing i have had to bad luck with a white lighter is a friend broke one of my bowls by pulling it over, but gave me money on the spot to get a new one, and ended up giving me more money than i needed for the new one

yeah i've also had bad luck with white lighters as stated. But to the comment on Bic lighters being produced in 1973, it could have been a no name lighter that was white. I mean it doesnt have to be a Bic hahahah just a white lighter.

^LMAO

I've never kept track of days where I had bad luck while using a white lighter. Then again, I don't think I've owned one. I'm not superstisious at all. I had a friend who was so supersticious that it was obsurd. If she stopped at a red light, she'd kiss her finger tips and touch the roof of her car (weeeeeiiiiiiiirrrrrrddddd). She had other rituals for other things as well. Life's too short to worry about stuff like that. Enjoy it.

The first Bic lighters were launched in 1973. So.... Kurt is the only one that could have died with one in his possession.

[/quote] I thought the origin of the white lighter myth linked back to the 27 club.
