arzan87
I just read this review thread http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/37827-elements-mix-your-own-shisha-reviews/page__p__467242__hl__%2Belements+%2Bshisha__fromsearch__1#entry467242 It seems Elements ships with the tabacco and "the rest of it" seperate I just have a few questions on this.. 1) From a customs point of view, I'd only be charged on the tabacco content... which is insane tax here in Australia. How much Tabacco is there actually in 250g of shisha flavor? 2)Other than tabacco, what is "the rest of it" 3) Has anyone other than the reviewer actually smoked this stuff? Is it any good? 4) Is mixing your own easy to do.. i.e does it come with instructions on how much 'flavor" to use? Or do you just mix the whole thing and it's pre measured? 5) Does anyone sell this online that ships international? Thanks
Chreees
1) It depends on the brand of tobacco how much is actually tobacco. For the amount of actual tobacco in the Elements brand, fineout, the guy who reviewed it, is the only person I know who could tell you. 2) The rest would be glycerin, molasses, or honey, and the flavorings. Different brands use different bases. 3) Only person I know of who has smoked it is Shawn (fineout). I'm sure he'll chime in soon enough and can tell you more about it. 4) From what I remember him telling me, it's pretty straightforward. I do remember him saying that the first time he got it too wet or too dry (can't remember which), but the second time he tried it he was very pleased. One cool thing is you can mix it however you like it (you'd just toy around with it until you find the right mixture that suits you best). 5) I have no clue. I don't think Shawn can help you with that either, as I know he bought his locally. But he may know of an online site.
fineout
1) From a customs point of view, I'd only be charged on the tabacco content... which is insane tax here in Australia. How much Tabacco is there actually in 250g of shisha flavor? Germany has the same kind of crazy taxes, and the amount of wetness that is allowed to be in shisha is also regulated, which is why there is such a thing as elements in germany. The tobacco in elements is 20g and after you put the 75ml or so of the flavoring it comes out to around what would be a 200g pack maybe closer to 150 or 175 but i never weighed it. 2)Other than tabacco, what is "the rest of it" Elements is honey glycerine and flavoring, they say its natural flavoring, i havent had it in a while since i moved back to the us. 3) Has anyone other than the reviewer actually smoked this stuff? Is it any good? i sent arcane some, he said he wasnt overly impressed, but i really liked it, definately wouldnt compare to tangiers or the higher priced brands, which elements ends up being as much as, but for german shisha it was the best you could find. 4) Is mixing your own easy to do.. i.e does it come with instructions on how much 'flavor" to use? Or do you just mix the whole thing and it's pre measured? its really easy, they have online instructions, i did it wrong one time because i didnt get enough of the water out and it kinda made it taste a little bland but i bought a whole bunch more that year i was there and it was much better after i found out i needed to get a lot of the water out after you wet it. 5) Does anyone sell this online that ships international? couldnt tell ya, i bought it in germany from a shop there, never seen any international shipping places for it. ih303
This is intriguing. However it seems like I remember being convinced by Eric that it's not as simple as it seems. IDK, I think it would be cool to see some DIY type kits out there to let all of us nubs get a taste of what it feels like to be Eric. BTW, does Eric remind any of you of The Dude? (get it if you get it, leave it if you don't)
