I got some of these at my lounge about a week and a half ago. I'm not a huge fan of the Mono, but the Vento is badass. I only say this because I absolutely LOVE the base on it. It's got a hand-blown look to it, and unlike some of Mya's other bases, this one has the word "Mya" in the glass on the bottom of the base - like beveled, in glass - formed. It's pretty cool knowing they're not just getting their bases from Hobby Lobby anymore. ;) And even though I still can't tell a quality difference between "bohemian" and regular glass, the rip on these say they were made partially in the Czech Republic - I put two & two together and voila!

One thing I don't care about but I'm sure a lot of folks do is the fact that both these pieces are upgradable to four hoses. This is cool because you don't usually see this functionality on the relatively lower-end models. Other than that, multi-hoses suck - especially ones you can't purge. The problem with this added functionality is that an otherwise proggressively beautiful stem is blemished by little caps. See, I really dig the stems - they've got more of a "smoothed out square" look to them, and that's new to me as far as hookahs are concerned.

Oh, another thing. While they do come with the same crappy hoses/bowls/tongs, they changed the design of their cages for these models. The cages are now square and made from more substantial materials. And the Mono's nothing like a pumkin - it just looks a little like the base got dropped while the glass was still soft making it a little bottom-heavy. But hey, different strokes, right?

All-in-all I like what Mya did here, I especially like the Vento. We've priced them at $60ea. and will be putting them out this week to see how the sell. Regardless, the Vento's on my short list of hookahs to buy before they get discontinued. I'm seriously in love with the look of that piece.

I like the look of them. I wonder why they thought a small Mya hookah needed the capability of 4 hoses. Seems like a waste but, I like them both. Especially the Vento.

Both are cool. I wouldn't mind a little more decoration on them, but that's no biggie.

I may retire my acrylic mini Mya for one of these.

It's a (not so much) glorified Pumpkin!

Fail.

Nothing wrong with Pumpkins in theory. Except they fall apart and most require male bowls. Mya had the Solo, but because of the stereotype they stopped making it. (Still wish I could get one)

Problem with pumpkins is quality not design. The Petite is super tiny and smokes like a champ, and smaller than pumpkins.

Well if it looks like a Pumpkin, people who know pumpkins suck are going to be wary of buying it. But if it smokes great (as we know all Myas do), then hopefully these won't have the same fate as the Solo. I know it's the quality and not design. Just how it looks is all- reminds you of a pumpkin. I never doubted its performance. I owned a Petite and it was great.

personally i havent had much experience with mya's but the word around here is that they smoke great... even the small hookahs smoke as well as large Egyptian style. But based on looks they don't appeal to me that much. The jar on the vento is pretty nice. But not my cup of tea.

I realize I saw these a little while ago, before HS sent out the email, I saw them on southsmoke and I also noticed they have the new Mozza II. I really like the new direction Mya is going with the bases.

I like that they can add extra hoses. I use my QT for going out and taking it to parties and such and one hose is just not enough sometimes. I usually just throw another hose port on mine though. 2 hoses is more than enough for such a small hookah.

I do like the way the top one looks too.. wouldn't buy it for myself, but maybe a gift for someone.

Am I the only one, or can everyone see that all of a sudden, starting with lunchbox's post, the text in posts turned bold? I've noticed this in many other threads as well...

Everything looks normal on mine...

Man, I don't know what's going on... The bold goes away when I edit a post. Weird.
