Looking To Get A Phunnel Bowl. What Size?

Hey guys looking to get a phunnel bowl here:

They have small, medium, and large...just wondering what to go for. I have a 24" Mya Econo Black Diablo Hookah. So I'm leaning towards the medium or large...but they don't tell you the size, only what it holds.

Depends on how much you're smoking. If it's just you, and you don't like sitting there all day, a small is more than enough. Mediums are good if you smoke with 2 or 3 people. Large's are just obscene. You're going to be using a LOT of shisha, more than is really necessary, but if you have a lot of people smoking at parties, they're great. I think hookahjohn's mini aliens are even better than the smalls tang bowls from what I hear, but I don't have one, so I couldn't tell you.

Small. If you get a medium or large, trust me, you'll be kicking yourself later on when you realize how much tobacco you're wasting.

Typically, people seem happier with smaller ones. Small or micro for sure.

the small is pretty awesome, big enough for a 2-3 hour long session with a few people. if you only want to do short, one or two person sessions, go with hookahjohn's alien.

Or the Crown Micro Phunnel. I haven't tried it, but several people have told me it's better than the Alien.

Also, I get way more than 3 hours out of my small phunnel. I think the most I've gotten was 6 or 7 hours out of one.

I use my Tangiers mini phunnel primarily, and even then most of the time I'm left with uncooked shisha in the bottom. I have to do like 4 hours or so to fully cache it.

I have a small Tang phunnel, and can't manage to smoke a whole bowl out of it. Usually I do two sessions of about 2 hours each, sometimes with a break in between for an hour or so, sometimes smoking the same bowl two days in a row. It's always still wet at the bottom (with Tang, anyway -- I actually haven't smoked anything else out of it for no particular reason). I just ordered a Crown micro phunnel a couple days ago, looking forward to seeing how that is.

This ^^ some people even use less shisha in a small by using a tea light mod. so small is more than enough

i made the mistake of buying a large funnel the first time thinking the small will be small. the small is enough. i have packed the large maby 2/3 times and have smoked it for a good 8 hours with AF and it could have still gone longer

Nahh, I swear by large phunnels! .....but people say I'm odd, all the time.


If you only want to smoke for an hour or so, get a micro. If you do decide to get a genuine Tangiers Phunnel, then go with a small. 99% of the time people underestimate that bowl, thinking that it's actually.....well small. Small holds about 50g of Tangiers, if you pack it how its meant to be. If your smoking AF, SB, or something else, and you put it in there all fluffy like a cloud, it'll prolly hold around 25-30 grams.

I'd say go with the Micro first, then later get a tang phunnel.

I have the medium phunnel and its enough for me. I smoked a 3 hour session from it.
