My First Km!

Recommended Posts

So here it is. I have been carrying on about this for about a week now, and it's finally here! My 2011 KM Quadmetal. As usual, John is the best and got it here, and FedEx did it's part by braving the snow to get it here with zero delays. This is my first KM, and I can't wait to smoke out of it, the attention to detail, the color, everything about it is perfect. I polished it up and it looks phenominal. So without further ado, here it is!

I don't even wanna smoke out of it right now, I just wanna stare at it a whole lot more. The stem is nice and heavy, and it feels really durable. I can't wait to smoke out of the thing, at the same time, I still just want to stare at it and admire it a whole lot more! I have always wanted a KM, and I figured now is as good a time as any. Here's to the new year!

How'd you polish it?

And I'm diggin' that vase...

I used brasso on it. Probably not the best thing to do to it, but it was the first thing that came to mind, and it looks great.

I just had my first session, OG Maraschino Cherry, and the thing pulls like a dream. I'm hooked on KM. The thing is beautiful. And I love the vase. I can see the quality of the smoke before I even have to choke on a bad bowl or something. Those have become a thing of the future lately so that shouldn't be an issue. ;) The clear is the best.

It was tarnished, probably not a defect, but it drove me nuts.

That's why yours isn't black anymore... you stripped it off, haha. Brasso takes it right off. All the guys who want to keep it on are freaking out trying to figure out how to polish it without removing the black. I prefer regular metals, not shit painted or "oxidized" onto the metal... This is why I just prefer the regular Trimetal version of this same style. I can't blame you for just going ahead and stripping the black. It was most likely going to start coming off eventually anyways. Plus now you can polish it anytime with anything. I use Brasso on my trimetal and it works great. Nice looking KM man. You will enjoy it for years to come.
