Chreees
Just got it in the mail. About to open it up and try it out. How many of you guys have one and how do you like it? Pics and my review to come soon.
boludo
I have one and I love it (you know that). Although I use my crown classic more than the micro funnel... great bowls!
jorlyfish
You already know my opinion, since I semi-convinced you to buy one...
Chreees
Yes, I know you two and Aaron (rahl) have them and love them. Looking to see if others have one.
Chreees
First impressions- It's awesome. Takes a bit longer to heat up, but no worries. Middle spire is pretty low, so yeah, juices drip down. Not a big deal though. Smokes great. I have three CCN halves on it right now. Might knock it down to two and windcover, though. ih303
It pains me to say this but I've got to get this off my chest. I have, on multiple occasions... cheated on my beloved Tangiers phunnel with other bowls - most recently with a Crown Microphunnel, interestingly enough. It's just so hard sometimes, you know? I go out and see a bowl someplace, and even though I know I've got a wonderful bowl waiting at home for me, all I can think about is how this other bowl would look sitting on top of my hookah, all hot and ready, just asking to be smoked. It always starts out so innocent, you know. Just natural curiosity. But then one thing leads to another, and before I know it I find myself sitting there staring at the bowl that only a few hours prior had so much appeal, but now that I've cached it, it just seems kind of pathetic. And that's when it hits me... that other bowl wasn't even that great. I mean it was good, but not as good as what I had waiting for me at home. I mean what was I looking for? What did I think I'd find? It always makes me feel guilty and kind of dirty - like maybe I don't deserve to have a bowl like that at home. I don't know. Those were dark days. Things are much better now. I'm now in more of an "open" type relationship where I'm free to fool around with other bowls (within reason, of course) as long as I always come home to her. That way, I get the best of both worlds. Currently I'm involved with several bowls which can be a real handful. I try to give them all equal attention but it can be tough sometimes choosing between them. Most of the time I just default to my beautiful Tangiers Phunnel. After all, she's been with me since the beginning. (And between you and I, the smoking is still unbelievable. Better than any of my other bowls by far.) I guess what I'm trying to say is, I like Tangiers phunnels.
ih303
Erm.... all of that up there, probably not that helpful. What can I say? It's Friday! Honestly though, I do like Crown phunnels. Just like everything they do over there, each bowl is a work of art. However, as far as phunnels go, I still prefer Tangiers - it's not so much about smoke but more about look and feel. It's just a preference thing. Granted, I'd never dream of putting a Tangiers Phunnel on my Crown Hookah.
Chreees
Haha, I like how detailed you were about cheating on your Tangiers phunnels... rahl071
My crown classic arrives tomorrow Chris. I'll letcha know what I think. Also, Santino's going to email me when the one-coal bowl resurfaces as well.
jorlyfish
[quote name='INCUBUSRATM' timestamp='1295039391' post='494374'] Middle spire is pretty low, so yeah, juices drip down. I haven't had any issues with juices, but I only pack up to the top of the spire and then kind of push the foil to meet the shisha. And yeah, I'd try knocking the heat down a little, just to see if you can. One of the things I like about the bowl is I use less coal - I typically use one 1/2 CCN and two 1/4ths on a bowl of Tang, throwing a windcover on once the 1/4ths get little.... totaling just one coal per round! Chreees
I feel this is worth mentioning... I posted this thread on another forum as well, and mentioned that Santino accidentally forgot one of my three gaskets I ordered along with the bowl. He saw this and emailed me. Even though it's just a gasket and wasn't even a dollar, he said that wasn't up to his standards and would be sending out one along with something else. Santino, you are THE man. I think any other vendor would have either not done anything or would have just said "let me know next time you order and I'll throw it in." Really didn't expect anything for just one gasket, hence why I didn't email Santino about it. It really surprised me and I gotta say that little gestures like that go a long way. Thanks Santino! rahl071
They're just standard Mya's which I really like. I just put in an order for a 1-coal though. I just hope he doesn't bring back the all-glass rigs, or my bank account will get all empty and shit. Santino's a bad-ass though; he sent me an email when they released the Classic and Micro 1-coals. Can't beat service like that.
