Lighting: slow... very slow.. almost non-existent. it would only spark in areas where there is a flame.

Smell: like a 3king

Taste: didnt even put the coal on my bowl because the coal still stunk bad even after it was fully lit for a couple minutes

Ash: dont know. tossed the coal in the sink with running water

Time: n/a

i really do not recommend these. the store i went to had these for $8.99 (box of 80) and 3kings for $11.95 (box of 100). i bought a box of 3kings and one tube of the black diamonds to try... i will stick with the 3kings.
