Bleeding_Heart1 Posted July 21, 2006 Share Posted July 21, 2006 Well i hate to burst your bubble but the "ORB" Isnt a mya. Its a chineese. I have a mya acrylic and it looks nothing like that. HookahDuck Posted July 21, 2006 Share Posted July 21, 2006 Yes, the Orb is a Mya. I purchased one from Elitehookah.com in the double hose variety for a friend as a gift. I own a QT, and have smoked my buddies Orb several times. One thing I noticed is that the hose ports are very small on the Orb- not as in a tight draw small, but you have to put the gromet onto the hose itself, and then insert it or it wont stay in. Also, the "ribs" on the push-seal in the stem (unless of course you get the screw on version) are a little large and need to be wet to easilly slide it on.Personally, i prefer the QT for those two reasons. Ive had 4 hookahs and it is by far the best hookah ive smoked out of/owned. If that hookah really is a mya, get it. MrGuy Posted July 22, 2006 Author Share Posted July 22, 2006 hmmm just looking. im quite certain it is. there are pictures of hookahs that look very very similar but not the same on the myasaray site. look in the acrylic section and go to page 2. the bottom of the stems are different to the one on h-s. the hs stem bottom is like a hemisphere, where in myasaray pictures, its a ball? It's basically a duffel bag with a couple of velcro straps on the inside to hold the hookah and stem in place for transport. I could never really get the base and stem to fit right/snug in the bag. They would just always kinda flop around in there. If you are getting a QT, the cage that comes with it is actually really cool, and is perfect for taking it with you or for storage. My Egyptian is a 28" I believe, but as the QT is so small, the small bag might just do the trick. Yeah, hard cases do rattle (I have a Junior Modern from SS in one). I'm not sure if Mya makes a hard case specifically for the QT. The cage that comes with it is made by Mya for the little guy, but if you call them they might have some other info.
