Recommended First Purchase

Hey everyone, I've smoked hookah every so often for the past year and decided that it's time that I buy my own. I have a friend who has recommended my first purchase and I wanted to run it by you guys.

1. Mya Bambino from HS with romman vanilla and al tawareg tangy orange
2. V4 Narbish
3. HJ Alien bowl
4. CH instant light

There's a nearby smoke shop so I can pick up more shisha, they carry al fakher, nakhla, starbuzz, tonic, and pharoah's.

My favorite Romman flavor is Ivory coast. If you want vanilla, Al Fakher makes one of the best, and it's acceptable cheap, much cheaper than romman. Personally, a couple of us found that the crown micro phunnel V2 has treated us better than the HJ alien-and why are you going with insta lights? If you have the facilities to go natural, by all means, go natural.

I say modify as follows:

Mya Vento from H-S, with Romman Ivory Coast (or another flavor, read the reviews section) and Tangy Orange is a good choice, imo.
Narbish is fine, but if you're not ordering from HJ specifically, the Nammor or Razan are both good
HJ alien i'd get a crown micro phunnel V2-more expensive, but it's a real shisha saver, and is a great bowl to smoke from
Razan natural coco's, coconaras, or hj natural coco's.

Once you get some heat management under your belt, you may want to pick up some tangiers. Hell, you may want to start by ordering a pack or two; be warned though, it's more difficult to work with than say, starbuzz.

I think the order is fine, but hold off on the alien bowl and swap it out for a standard egyptian. With the tobaccos you are smoking, the alien or other phunnel-type bowl wouldn't benefit you too much...although, I haven't seen Tonic tobacco in quite some time so I can't say for sure regarding this specific brand.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that the bambino comes with an order of Romman and Al tawareg. And I'm putting the coals, bowl, and hose in with my friend's order (CKJazz).

Also should have mentioned I don't have the ability to use natural coals, as I live in a dorm.

Thanks for the advice though. I may swap the vanilla out for ivory coast like you suggested.

I'm in a dorm too. If you guys have your own bathroom, then the vent in it is the best place to light nats on that coil burner. If not, a plastic bag over the detector and an open window will work just fine, typically. Ultimately, the pipe is YOUR choice. Most myas smoke very similarly, and all of your standard sizes and choices come with some sort of container, whether it be a canister, box, or cage. you may wanna spend a dollar or two on better tongs, and the ones that come with cheap myas are abysmal. A standard wind cover is also a sound investment. i forgot about that >.<

Also, the standard egyptian is a sound statement, but the standard mya bowl is pretty good. For a low price, very few are better. maybe the Social Smoke Hemi. even so, you may want to hold off for the phunnel, as arcane suggested, until you get shisha that it works best with.

got to agree with rahl on the ivory coast for sure. and also agree with arcane on the bowl idea. I didnt get a phunnel till my first order of tangiers. Either an egyptian like arcane said or a standard mya like rahl said. If you have the extra money to order from another site get the Crown micro nothing but good things are said about it. When i finally get some money i will be getting one...well after i buy a shitload of tobacco and coals.
