New Mya Web Site.

Recommended Posts

So, as I have said before, I stay in touch with the Mya Saray guys. They emailed me about a new site today.

www.myahookah.com

Apparently they now have shipping to other countries included.
Now you UK guys are covered. :)

They said it's not completely done yet, but wanted to get it up and public as they add more stuff.

(this is NOT a paid endorsement. ;) )

oh and let me say, for those wondering about why I like Mya so much. When I had my lounge, until the end when i got some KM's for the traditional crowd, I used and sold exclusively Mya hookahs. I like their construction, thier modern look, and the fact that if i ever had a problem with a hookah or a shipment they took care of it. Also, when I was raising money for St. Baldrick's children's cancer foundation (thats when i went from hippy to escaped prisoner by shaving my head, they made a VERY nice donation to the fund-raising without me even asking.) And the one time I managed to get to their headquarters, they treated us quite well considering we showed up at around 4:30 pm. Showed us everything and let me wander through the place like a kid in a candy shop. ( so i eft with about a grand worth of hookahs, least i could do. ;) )So their hookahs may not be for everyone, but the guys who run the company are a class act in my book.

the only thing i question (other than the whole discussion about the bohemian glass stuff) is that they say on their site that all mya hoses are washable.....

Apparently the site is incomplete, so i suspect the other hoses are coming.

They are washable. I know this has been discussed before but to briefly recap, washable does not mean rustfree. The inside coil is wrapped in plastic, so it can be washed several times (in cold water) before they will start to rust. Most traditional hoses just have a bare coil inside and will rust a lot faster and can't even be washed once. Believe me, I went through plenty of hoses at my lounge.

yeah. correct me if i am wrong, but i remember hearing something about how when they originally made lightbulbs, they could've made them so that they would basically never burn out. realizing the limited amount they would sell in comparison to if they burnt out eventually.

I'd love to see them make a truly rust proof hose. But think about the marketing problem with that. "the last hose you'll ever buy!" only sells you so many hoses. ;)

Nammors are completely rust free. The inside "coil" is really just corrugated plastic. There is no metal in the hoses at all. I use to have a pic on my photobucket account but I deleted it.

Edit: Just realized you might be talking about MYA not making a rust free hose. If thats what you meant then yes you are correct sir.

I do like the "make your hookah" aspect of it. I still think its very limited in there selection. I realize the website is not complete but i do hope that they are able to offer many more stems. also i do like the vase selection but i always hope they offer more colors and if they do not have more colors at least different decorations or them. Overall i think its a great idea hope it expands and does well. (despite the fact the only mya stem i would own would be for a crystal pryamid vase that one day i will own)

Ya but the rest of the hose falls apart if i recall so its still busted. :)

Thats what I meant, but i also mean in general, there are no commercially made hoses that are truely rustproof AND will stay together.

I bought their ninja hose back in december and it hasn't rusted on me. I've washed it about 5 times since then.

Oooooh, the build your own hookah thing is really cool. I especially like the whole it telling you how tall it is!

The only problem me and my friend had with build a hookah was that they do not have any options yet for making the pipe a multihose...which is one of the big reason he was looking at a MYA

I'm sure they'll add that. I believe I remember Mush saying they're still working on the site and it will only get better. Definitely quite a nifty site.
