Chreees Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 "Going black" is a very common thing for all of the coconut coals. But so far it hasn't ever affected the smoke for me. Mine go black on the bottom too. I leave my coals on the bowl and don't touch them until about halfway through the session, I flip them, then leave them alone until they die.
