mattwoods11
Hey guys I have been to Hookah bars several times and absolutely love it! I think the hard buzz I get from it is better than drinking so I went out and got my own mini Hookah. The stuff I purchased for it was Orange by a maker called HookahHookah. Its unwashed (.5%) but when I smoked it I literally felt nothing at all....not even a slight buzz. What is up with this? Any suggestions or is that type of shisha just not that good? I want something thats going to kick me in the face like it does when I go to hookah bars. There are not many stores to find the stuff around here so any suggestions? joytron
Yeah, hookahhookah is a washed tobacco. You should try Nakhla, we have a review section that is worth looking into.
Chreees
HookahHookah lies! They LIE! Definitely washed, no buzz, weak flavor, crap tobacco... In other words, don't ever bother buying it again. As Jess said, check out the reviews section to see what people tend to like. I personally think Starbuzz, Nakhla, and Al Fakher are good brands to start out on. Travis
Some people may not agree, but I think Al-Waha is a great brand. Pretty sure it's washed, may be wrong about that.
king_lunchb0x
i think al-waha is just about the same al nakhla. Majority of companies either use a low nicotine leaf or wash them really well. Go back to the hookah bar and ask what brand do they serve...they might say they make there own but if not their you go. http://www.hookahjohn.com/ http://www.hookahcompany.com/ http://www.hookah-shisha.com/ http://www.nazarhookah.com/ those are some good sites..read out review section narrow down to brands and then go shopping for best price. ilikemyusername
I'm fairly sure AW is not washed. There don't seem to be many fans of it here but I personally beleive the make the BEST orange flavor, hands down. It produces nice thick smoke and heat management is pretty straight forward. Plus on a sidenote, it's cheap!
joytron
Dont listen to them Matt, they are just trying to get you to have a smoking experience so horrible you will never smoke again. BTW Orange is foul, like I said before straight up stale Flintstones Vitamins (you know the ones that sat in the cupboard for years and started changing color)
agunn1231
I dont really like orange. If you are looking for Al Waha, i recomend their Plum flavor. But otherwise, go with Al Fakher or Nakhla

ilikemyusername
I should note that it's actually the orange cream, I just call it orange because I can never detect any cream. You should check the review section, almost nothing but positive notes about it, with the exception of one person who's like "it was good but the flavor dropped off, i dunno, I was drunk" thats not really a review I would trust. Yasseah
Al Waha rules, as for the naysayers, user error I say. Some of the best sessions I've had were with Al Waha Naoimi and Bahraini Apple. I get a buzz from it, also. And 250 G's for less than $5 FTW and you really get 250 G's of shisha too- it's not unnecessarily drenched in juice adding weight like many much more expensive brands. Venger
al-waha is the missing link between nakhla and AF. Like any company some flavors shine while other are OK. So far I have liked what I have tried. It is unwashed and packs a pretty good punch. Ray

dizzbizz
AF usually gives a buzz even though its washed. Also, if I pack SB correctly I can get a buzz from it. But Nak also has a decent punch, but when I'm buzz hungry I always go for OG Tangiers.
GoldenFingerBl4ster99
You could also try making your own if you really want to ensure you get a good buzz.
LZDjoshua
Hey Matt, if you are looking for a strong headbuzz, Tangiers is the shisha to use. It is certainly a shisha to "warm up" to, but it is one of the few shishas out there that is unwashed with a higher nicotine content. It requires acclimation so if you were to purchase a 100g, you would need to spread it out and let it sit for a MINIMUM of 30 min-1 hr. It will produce very large clouds of smoke. They have various flavors, some of which are stronger than others. My favorite flavors to experiment and mix with are the New Lime and Maraschino Cherry. It's a sweet smoke that still gives that Tangiers heaviness to a bowl. My opinion of Al-Waha is basically you get what you pay for. It is cheap and tastes cheap as well. Same with Hookah-Hookah. If you still have Hookah-Hookah shisha, but are having trouble getting a smoke out of it, try squeezing all the water out of it (very very watery), so that your tobacco is a little drier and easier to evaporate. This will help solve that problem. [quote name='mattwoods11' timestamp='1299256443' post='500260'] Hey guys I have been to Hookah bars several times and absolutely love it! Dark Overlord
Al Waha is definitely UNwashed. I consider it slightly better than Nakhla in quality. The melon isn't bad. There were a few other flavors that were smokable as well. Hookah Hookah claims to be unwashed, and it is disgusting. There may be something in the way your local place sets up their heads that is giving you the buzz, not the tobacco.
