Hey all,

I am new here, just wanted to say hello..... and thanks to this forum, its operators and community for this great resource.

I just did the hookah thing for the first time a couple weeks ago and I love it. I have been using tobacco on and off in various forms over the past 25 years.. finally kicked cigs (vile!) and for the past 3 years just the occasional pipe tobacco (vaporized), cigar or chew. What can I say I like to mix it up and wanted to try this, and when my wife mentioned that she tried it recently (and liked it) I thought why not and hooked us up - with a crappy hookah from a smoke shop of course - and a few flavs of Fantasia.

Like I said it was love at first pull... although absolutely no tobacco buzz, I didn't mind, this is a nice change of pace, relaxing and social, good stuff! And the taste! It may be a crappy hookah but man the draw experience compared to any other form I've tried is just heaven.

So now I have 4 different orders to me right now as we speak including the prerequisite accessories, pounds of shisha, Nammor hose, CCN's, elec burner, vortex bowl, and a trimetal KM! I got it bad man.... I can see this is going to hurt the wallet for sure!

I ordered some AF, Naklha, more SB and even some DM, Salloum and Tang Noir in at least 12 different flavors total to try and get an idea. I am most looking forward to trying Kashmir Peach, Zag, and the infamous 2 apples. I had some fun with the Fantasia but very unnatural and extremely sweet flavors, ready for some real (unwashed) flavor as you can see by my order (this forum was awesome to help with that!). I do plan on stepping up the nicotine level gently.... i.e. already heard quite a few rushed experiences going straight to Tangier's not working out so well!

I am really hoping to find my holy grail of flavors, right now in my mind it is something mildly fruity (no citrus), mildly sweet, mildly natural tobacco, with a hint of spice (card/cin) and a bit of a kick. Any suggestions? I have a feeling I am going to really like KPeach mixed with a little Zag based on the reviews.

Anyway, nice to be here and thanks already for the great help you all have been in my "hookah 101" studies while lurking this site! Looking forward to sharing all my trials and tribulations!

good deal! You will probably find that you will be buying lots of different shishas but eventually you will settle on a few that you really like, For instance for me as far as nakhla goes I like double apple and sweet melon as staples from that brand but every once in a while I get a hankerin for some cardamom! Now thats a flavorful punch in the face! Dont listen to anyone who tells you that AF grape tastes like ketchup, it's one of the best shishas IMO. Golden grape is even better and has an even stronger flavor but there is a pungency in the raw shisha that some say smells like ketchup. Not when you smoke it. also, AF lemon, mint and esk apple are always in my stash.l As far as tangiers goes I'm still working on that. Romman makes some really straight shisha but it's a little more pricey than I like but thier apple is fantastic. I've tried a few fantasias and I probably wont buy any more of it but thats just me personally. You will make your own decisions and your own choices and have a great time experimenting with them. Have fun!

Thanks everyone!

Well it's all finally here and I have just finished my first bowl of Tangier's Horchata...

And all I can say is WOW. You guys rock... I would have never had any idea going into this without this forum and your help. I think I've already found hookah bliss. I would be happy with Horchata and my KM forever. Of course I have too many other flavors to try so I'll have to mix it up before it all goes bad :)
