How Long Will It Last In A Bowl?

Recommended Posts

So, when I get home tonight, I plan on packing a tight phunnel bowl. I know it will last for hours. Lets say I only want to smoke for 2 hours. I know it will last much longer than that with good heat management.

Could I come back 24 hours later and reuse the same tobacco in the bowl?

Are there any taste issues or any other issues that would arise?

With my small phunnel, I've gone 7 hours on it before I got tired and quit smoking. I feel it could've probably have gone a bit longer.

Are there any taste issues or any other issues that would arise? Yes, it can happen, often necro bowls don't taste as good, hence why I replace the top layer.

Easy- use a small phunnel with Tangiers and manage your heat properly so you don't scorch the bowl.

I've had my mini phunnel last 12 hours with very good flavor before it finally started tasting a little old and there was still some fresh shisha on the bottom of the bowl. The top was hard as a rock though.

I was wondering a bit of the same thing. I'm using an HJ alien phunnel, and I can't seem to get my Tangiers Lucid Sour grape going properly. It smelt really soy-saucey when I opened it, so I let it sit for a good while...then packed a bowl. Tasted alright, but not great and not close to what I was expecting after my first tang experience with Orange Soda. So the session was only about 1.5 hours but the taste wasn't that great after 1 hour.

Next day, I took the foil off, removed the top layer of charred shisha, mixed the stuff on the bottom (pretty much brought the juiciest stuff from the bottom to the top), and then added a layer of fresh shisha on top. Packed it tightly, set it up, and the taste didn't taste like sour, grape, or sour grape, at all. It had a very light taste to it, but it wasn't satisfying at all. The little flavor it had died within 20-30 mins, and I killed the bowl within a little over an hour.

I always have 2 CH QL's going. When it seems like it's getting too hot, I just shift the coals so that they're not completely on the bowl to get less heat. But then clouds start dying, and the shisha cools down a bit, so I adjust accordingly, and keep doing this through the session.

I also can't seem to get the CH's to cut in half properly after scoring + slamming down on the knife.

Any ideas/tips? Maybe I need a new hookah and this Mya Bambino needs to retire.

I used a PVC pipe cutter to cut my coal in half. Works like a charm!

i think it didnt work as well because hj aliens hold about half as much tobacco as tang small thus smoking for 1.5hours probably baked 90% of the shisha in the alien so it was pretty dry. Also letting it sit in the bowl over night it will lose some potency. I think you would have a bit better success with a tang bowl next time you "necro"

I once left a half smoked small phunnel of afeskapple sitting on the counter in the kitchen, I later moved it to a bookshelf and it sat there for weeks until one day I was cleaning up, removed the foil, looked at it, replaced the foil, lit the coals and put it back on the hookah, it was fine.
