Chreees
What are your favorite brands of hookahs and why? You can choose more than one. I chose Khalil Mamoon, Mya, and Nour/Nawras because they are well-built, last long. They're the only ones I've smoked from, except for Al Fakher. I once owned a Small Solid AF pipe and quality just wasn't there for me. My Nour/Nawras I have now is much better. Overall I'd happily buy a pipe from these three brands. Also, let me know if there are any major brands I missed and I'll add them.
Hassouni
Elmas is not an option huh?
TheyCallMeDave
I would choose Temsah for their comparability to other major Egyptians, sturdy design, and classic asthetics. I would also choose KM for their variety of choices of stem styles, and their superior smoking ability. MYA, because they are so damned dependable, and put out so much smoke for osmeone who doesn't want a pipe over 25 inches.

r1v3th3ad
Khalil Mamoon, mine is a tank Magdy Zidan, I loved mine to death...recently sold it, don't love as much as KM due to a flaw it had(faulty weld) Mya Saray, everyone I've owned had been sturdy and to the point of perfection Temsah, I've smoked from one, they are heavy duty pipes, not perfect but I love them the others I didn't vote on because I never smoked from the others
Cp44
KM because I can get it cheap and never had an issue with it. Mya because its elegant and smokes pretty damn good.
cotsi95
Old KM's because they are built awesome and the draw from them is bar none the least restrictive and I like that. Mya's because they are awesome little buggers and perfect for multihose or new smokers. Tehsah's because they are well built and remind me of older km's
king_lunchb0x
1. Km.. lots of different style full sized stems for fair price (most of the time) 2. Nour/Nawara.... very nice brass stems can get pretty cheap at times and look more traditional to me then km's 3. this one was a tough choice either elmas or temsah. i decided temsah because they are slightly bit cheaper then elmas. Venger
mya all the way. I like that its machined. every piece is gonna be the same. No little flaws that are gonna kill my smoke. If one part breaks it is easy to replace. Ray
mushrat
Here comes the KM lovefest.... Mya and MZ. Mya for the same reasons as Venger and MZ because as HB and then MZ they were doing it Firstest with the Mostest.
Chreees
Yep, I love Mya for the same reasons, Ray. Mush, Mya is ahead of KM by 4 votes.

method
I'll add Ager, even though I've never heard of it, haha.
honestly , i never heard of any nargila maker , maybe few that came in fancy cases , and this one i just got . in israel id say we have a nice veriaty , but they vary from syrian to egyptian mostly (ie. you will look for the style you want , rather than the brand) , on the nargila itself rarely you'll find manufacturer engraving/stamp . ive seen/owned/smoked alot of nargilas , and i shop mostly in Nazareth , as thats where i was living up untill a year and a half ago ... my general opinion about nargila culture in israel was high , but with my ignorance in nargila makers , that opinion is shaken slightly , or maybe its just me that didnt smoke enough to know enough ? heres how i classify the nargilas ive had over the years (last long + smoking expirience) : top class - those are one piece , no screwing parts and never rust - 30-35 euros average - also around 30 euros , i ranked them below top only cuz im pretty sure they had lower stem part screwing in - but also very good pipes imo poor - cost 12 euros , got rusty after few months , but i didnt expect anything more from a 12 euro china made (it had a sticker made in china ) worst - 14 euros , weld line inside stem , rust all over within less than two weeks , worst buy ever . other - not mine but smoked it loads , by far most expensive , i think it was 70 euros ... very big pipe , shitloads of screwing parts , was good to smoke , but not the best . and my current one , which is good so far , you can check on the other forum part ... all in all , there was no sign of manufacturer on any of those nargilas , maybe you guys can clear the smoke for me (ironic innit ? ) on this matter . and i apologise if my personal rankin offended any1 that might think otherwise about the same pipes good day all

mitchard
Nawras/Nour, without question. Brass, incredibly strong/durable, and just a hell of a lot nicer looking than most of the stuff Egypt and China are pumping out. Plus I like the tighter draw they offer when compared to a KM or Mya. Elmas is up there too. Such solid pipes. I think they would have MANY more votes if they were easily accessible to the American market. The same goes for Nawras too. KMs abnd Myas have flooded the US market to the point where thats all most people in the online communities have experience with in a lot of cases. But that all goes back to the "KM BANDWAGON LOVE!!!!!@!!1!!!!" Mush likes to mention from time to time haha.
HookahLover25
I like Mya and KM. Mya for being perfect and sexy. Even smoking a small MYA can give you big ass clouds just like any KMs KM are huge! nice and sturdy. Even though people complain about the quality. It's hand made! I love smoking KM's makes me feel like I'm riding a camel in the desert and I am KING! not... Lol

r1v3th3ad
Ager does more ornamental themed hookahs, not sure of quality, but I haven't heard any complaints I had heard rumor in the past that the guys from Magdy Zidan were talking about teaming up with Ager to bring a quality ornamental pipe...heard this around the time that MZ stopped production edit: and MZs are great, I love them, but mine that I just sold had a major flaw...instead of a weld where the heart meets the stem, there was a silicone seal that went bad...now the stem rotates but doesn't effect the smoking(did a seal test, no leaks)

ilikemyusername
I can't believe MYA is ahead of KM, when I first got on this site, if you didn't kave a KM with a phunnel and a nammor hose you weren't even cool enough to say you had a hookah. Everything ebbs and flows on this forum, like the tides.
ilikemyusername
Oh, and my MZ is welded, it's a nefertiti (I think it"s a "B" the taller of the 3, not tallest, 36" single pear. definitely welded.
