lunare
I placed an order with HookahJohn, which was due to arrive Friday (sent via FedEx). Now, I live in an apartment complex. On Friday, the order arrives while I'm at work, and the online tracking system says they've left it at my door. When I get home, I see a notice stuck on my door saying it was delivered, but no package. Checked with the leasing office, but they don't have it either. So I'm assuming one of my neighbors may have grabbed it. Is there anything I can do, or am I SOL?
Chreees
Call Fedex. File a claim. Call HJ. See if you can't get something figured out.
r1v3th3ad
I had a package stolen off of my porch last week, called the vendor and he straightened it out with UPS for a claim and new package is on its way
king_lunchb0x
yup a claim is in order...on the next package make a comment so that the vendor can try to have them leave at leasing office. I am not sure exactly how but maybe just tape a paper saying to..?

mushrat
Ya, file a claim. Ask fed ex wtf they were thinking, leaving it in the open instead of at the office. Since you didnt sign for it you never got it.

Every HJ order I have gotten has been set right on my door mat in the open. I'm lucky none of them were stolen, cause I have had other packages stolen by my neighbors before that were shipped via Fedex, but weren't hookah-related. lunare
Thanks for the help guys. I've called FedEx and filed a claim, as well as emailed HJ and let him know what's been happening.
lunare
FedEx calls me back today, and tells me to ask the vendor to file a claim. HJ told me he's already filed a claim, so this should go smoothly. I talked to the FedEx agent about this, and apparently their policy is to just leave it at the door, not even at the leasing office, which I found really strange. Chreees
Yeah, that's the main reason I haven't bought from HJ in a good while- FedEx just leaves the package right on my doormat of my second-story apt for all my neighbors to see and potentially steal. The guy who lives right next door to me is shady as fuck and I'm pretty sure he's the one who has stolen both of my packages that have gone missing since I've been living here (neither one of them were hookah-related). UPS is a pain as well, because it seems as if they don't even knock on my door, but instead just leave the slip and take off. Meaning, I have to wait until night time to go pick it up from the UPS shipping warehouse on the other side of town. And not to mention they always seem to come when I'm at school. So I like to just stick with USPS, because the postal worker drops off my packages in the main office at my apts and puts a notice slip in my mailbox letting me know the package is there. So convenient... and safe. Glad to hear it's getting worked out.
