Hassouni
How about I buy you a vase and mail it to you in exchange for your suitcase space?
Only if you have access to the selection that I can find in Lebanon!

Jabbles180
I know everyone is past the south smoke vases but I just got one in today. The trumpet vase is for some reason a lot harder to strip the paint off. I'm on my third round of paint stripper and there is still a lot of blue left on the vase. I hope with at least a couple more rounds of paint stripper and paint thinner I'll be able to have a completely clear vase. Just thought I would let everybody know. Chreees
Thanks for that update, Jabbles. Keep us posted, as I still may try to do it myself.
Jabbles180
Well, it came clean. This time I needed the paint thinner just as much as I needed the paint stripper. For some reason the trumpet vase I received had a lot of little bubbles in the glass and more importantly these made little crevases all over the vase. This made it easy to strip the thicker paint with the stripper but I needed the paint thinner to get in all these imperfections. End result is a completely clear sexy looking trumpet vase. Now if I ever get to masking and frosting a design these south smoke vases will be top notch. If there is intrest I'll take pictures of the clear trumpet. It looks nice and is massive at 14" tall. Jabbles180
I'll go ahead and take some pictures of the set up I have it on and of just the vase sometime tomorrow. looks really good a temsaah shakil on a clear trumpet sitting next to a pre-2005 Narwas brass on the clear genie.
