Interesting New(To Me) Discovery

Recommended Posts

i've never smoked tangiers out of an egyptian clay bowl (or any mod bowls either)
and I tried it tonight.. discovered that I get a crazy strong buzz from smoking out of the egyptian clay as opposed to a phunnel bowl.

anyone else experience this? or maybe it's just me lol

it was lucid.. i packed it very tight around the edges of the bowl (about to the outside holes) then very lightly in the center. and all of it is about 1-3mm over the rim of the bowl.. then just 2 cocos

Well I use to notice it when I smoke out of an egyptian but Tangiers has become my default so I don't know if the buzz went away because I went to a phunnel or because I am use to it. I guess when I get back I will see, because that will be two months without smoking. So i will have to compare for myself.

Tried Tangiers in an Egyptian bowl once and only once, just to see the difference that a phunnel bowl would make. I can't recall if there was a different "buzz" or not, however, I was convinced that the phunnekl bowl deserves all the hype it gets. The clouds and smoothness were alot better. The heat management was easier, and it just seemed more tasty. Anyhow, don't think it'll happen again on my hookah.

I usually only smoke my tangiers out of my mini Egyptian now. To conserve it since its such a rarity in my stash. I stick my thumb in the middle and pack tight around it, I don't pack in the middle at all.

Now that I think of it too, mush, I realized that I'd hardly eaten anything yesterday either. so that contributed to the buzz aswell, i'm sure
Either way though, definitely surprised with the bowl lasting 2 rounds of 2 coals so roughly 2.5 hours. with constant billowy smoke and great flavor. definitely a good alternative to using a phunnel especially when low on funds/tobacco. IMO
