Ain Soph Aur
This has been on my mind for a while, I want to try blackberry shisha but I'm allergic to the actual fruit. I was wondering if I would have a reaction to smoking a blackberry flavoured shisha. Anyone know?
zombiedepot
I'm not too sure, but if it were me I'd avoid it. An allergic reaction in your lungs would be pretty painful.
MrGuy
i call on ye all mighty tangiers.you would probably be alright with some brands.
web250
If it is real blackberry extract, you're probably screwed. If it's artificial flavoring, you might be ok.
cymptom
I doubt you'd get a reaction to the shisha... but don't take my word for it. I've heard that very few manufacturers use actual fruit in the process... and even if they did, whatever component of the blackberry fruit that bothers you probably wouldn't carry through the smoke. That's my guess, anyway. If it's that serious of a risk, best not to try it no matter how low the possibility of a reaction. On a side note, smoking herbal shisha composed of unknown ingredients does NOT sound like a good idea for people with allergies. Another reason for herbal shisha manufacters to give up the whole sacred secret recipe pantload.
Ain Soph Aur
Yea I will def stay away from it till I know for sure I wont get a reaction. Apparently blackberry is a very good flavour though, I wish I could try some
Calcartman
You could try calling and asking the manufacturer; or ask whoevers selling for an ingredients list, and then ask a doctor if you'll be okay. But, I say this as a person with no food allergies; just pollen and bees
ghostofdavid
Don't risk it. People with extreme peanut allergies can be in a room with someone else eating a PB&J sandwhich and suffer from it. Especially in closed air circumstances like riding on an airplane.
dikydave
uhh...why would you even want to try?
Ain Soph Aur
Cause perhaps blackberry shisha doesnt cary the allergen from blackberrys. I love blackberry. But I break out in hives when I eat em.
hookah~rob~
so its not a "omg im screwed" reaction to blackberry. i say go for it but ask tangiers about it first, he would know much more than i would. you wouldnt want a breakout of hives in your lungs. Sonthert
Allergic reactions are very tricky. I am deadly allergic to cashews, pistachios and less allergic to macadamias. Its hard to know. Since the flavoring, allthough artificial, contains many of the same components as the actual blackberry, it may be one of those...I would avoid it. When I accidently get exposed to cashews/pistachios I eat 10-12 Benadryls. 6-8 would probably work if there were and adverse reaction.

Calcartman
sh*t; I took 4 benedryls when my allegry's made it damn near impossible to function; and I was stoned as sh*t! I can't imagine 6-8; let alone 10-
Sonthert
As drugies will tell you, more is not necessarily more. 10-12 doesn't hit you necessarily any harder than three to four. Its not a linear function, anyhow. In some cases, larger doses of sedative-type drugs will actually start making them more stimulant like, or vice versa. nuschultz
As someone in the medical field that deals with alergic reactions on a daily basis, here is what I can tell you:1. Alergic reactions can cause your throat to close, cause you to break out in hives, and are generally very painful.2. If you break out into anaphylactic shock, and your throat starts to close, you can literally be braindead in 7-10 minutes, if you don't recieve the proper care.3. Why on earth would you even try this! Stay safe, stay smart, stay alive. My $0.02.Edit for poor spelling.

[/quote] Crackers are too dry to smoke normally. You either crumble them up and snort them; or put some spray cheese on one, and make a lil sandwich; then smoke it.:Pequally lame, if not worse.
