Single foil regardless, I only like thicker foil because it is less likely to tear.

What others have said, thick foil one layer, thin foil sometimes two. The best, thickest foil I've used is precut stuff I got in Lebanon. I thought precut was pretty stupid, but the thickness is awesome, the size is great, and it was $1 for dozens of foils. Overall though, it also depends on the tobacco and how you pack. Nakhla, go for single layer, even if it's thin foil. I would say AF, loose, with thin foil single layer is ok.

Hang on, I got this.

"Well we have different brands of foil in the country I live in that is different than yours, but I think I've only come across a really thick foil once...

To be honest, i prefer to double foil it, that way I can have "cloudier" clouds lol"

Yeeeeeeeeeh

took me ten minutes to figure out how to edit it to a poll, but I did it!!!

I added some other options for those that don't use foil

* double foil is how i roll

* single is good enough

* rj is working undercover for al-Qaeda

* coyote should really start a cooking program

@Joytron :

Aren't you likely to heat your shisha more with a single layer of thin foil? Also, as far as I've seen, it is more difficult to get thin foil as tight around the bowl as with thick foil, it just somehow doesn't get wrapped as tight.

And as you said, there is a chance of it tearing.

@Method :

Have you ever used a single layer of that thick foil you're talking about? May be you will like it more. :)

I dont feel there is much of a difference as far as heating goes, and you can always just reduce/rearrange the coals.

Method, there is more than one way to interpret what you said.

One layer of heavy duty.

Although, sometimes no screen makes for an awesome smoke.

With tangiers noir in a medium phunnel, I have been using double-layered reynolds HD (both layers shiny-side down) with 3 halves of CCN/CH Cocos. Been working out great for me since Cocos tend to be a bit hot for Tangiers and the extra foil thickness seems to distribute the heat more evenly.

the thicker the better!! Reynolds HD ftw

i know what your thinking..why? they don't tear as easily when making monster toothpick holes. only costs a buck or two more.seem to get consistent good smoke And makes that awesome foil sound (better then the regular junk) that makes my girlfriend cringe every time ( i know, im just a ladies man!)
