ioannisds
You have a really good point. Maybe it's because of the stigma attached to the monkey poisoned in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Lakemonster
I meant to put Date/Cardamon/Coriander on there.. that basic mixture seems to be a base for most of the middle eatern pastries I've tried. I have had the Nakhla stuff (El-Basha label).... its pretty good... its been tough for me to locate. actually, when I get back in, I might do a mix of Bahraini/Cardamon/Lemon to see if I can mimic that pastry filling mixtures taste. MrGuy
el basha is what i'm stuck wiht smoking. el basha and soex (although i dont smoke soex much because i only have access to mixed fruit)how does el basha compare to havana, AF, al waha etc? i just want to know what to expect when i order some avana, AF, al waha and romman compared to el basha. cymptom
To me Nakhla tobaccos are pretty distinctly different from the more "premium" brands like AF and Havana. I wouldn't say I like one more than the other, it's really a different kind of smoke. Nakhla smoke gives me a kind of satisfaction that I don't really get when I smoke AF. Perhaps it's just the nicotine, but I don't know. Something about the texture of the smoke is different as well -- while Nakhla smoke can still be really thick, I've never gotten that dense silky kinda smoke I get from AF. As for the consistency of the tobacco, Nakhla tends to be a bit drier and stickier, whereas brands like AF and Havana are more typically gloppy and slimy, with juices usually pooling at the bottom of the container. Bleeding_Heart1
el basha and nakhla are from the same company but i think el basha is the lite version of nakhla.
MrGuy
yeah, people describe it as a lighter taste. personally, i still think it has a strong buzz, but i can't realy compare it to anything else.
theoneandonly
Actucally there is a local smoke shop in my city that has a date flavored shisha...it was kinda weird seeing that in the variety that they carry. But they do have it. When I go back I'll get the brand name and all the details
Sonthert
Date flavor doesn't work too well, I have tried it, I may try it again. If you ever notice that my flavor numbers have gaps, flavor number #35 was date, not in production. We used to make jokes, since grape is flavor #36, we used to kid to make a mix of the two, date grape...remove the g...you get it.Many herbal flavors (cardamom and coriander perhaps) have unsuitable technical performance characteristics...their flashpoint are too high or their solubility is too low. Macho555
mmm...dates. I'd like a date shisha, but id think it would get a little old. I cant wait to order the fig layalina.
Sonthert
No, I think #37 was an old mango flavor, 998639 or something like that. No, I got it, I was just avoiding it.
