New Elma, Having Problems....

Hey guys..

So I just got home from Europe and I bought an Elma at a Turkish hookah bar in Germany. It was great.

Anyways,

I bought an elma there. It's legit. The hose is amazing and I smoked from the same kind when I was at the hookah bar and loved it so much I bought one.

I tried it out and I couldn't get a decent smoke out of it. It was embarrassing actually. It was either burning or there was barely any smoke.

I used the bowl it came with. Clay bowl massive holes. And I used quick lights cause I was out of coconaras. And I was smoking starbuzz cause I haven't placed my tangiers order yet.

Do you think it's the quick lights fault? Or my packing job cause I've never used that bowl before?

I plan on buying male to male adaptor so I can use my phunnel. And then go back to my basic set up. But I still want to figure out what I was doing wrong.

Any ideas?

Try playing around with it a bit. Experiment. I'm thinking you weren't using enough heat (AKA you needed more coal).

Elmas, with an S. I don't really pack it any differently. Dense but slightly fluffed. Works for me!

Starbuzz and QLs always sounds like a recipe for disaster.

QL are fine, they will smoke just as well as a natural. Though I prefer the taste of naturals. I agree you probably need more heat.
