vendetta_revived
Hello guys. I have a friend who is currently in US for some work and will be staying there for about a year and a half. He is a little bit into smoking hookah but I suppose doesn't get much time due to his studies and work and stuff. Well the thing is that I have had him order some stuff from me and it has been delivered to his place, but he is not in a position to get to the post office and learn about their shipping rates to India. I was wondering if anyone here would know anything about it? Have you guys ever shipped anything overseas to this part of the world? May be to India. Actually I am in a pretty tight condition as far as finances go and looking for some fairly cheap shipping. Flat rate would be awesome! But if not, then something inexpensive? I have shipped some parcels to UK from here and they are always calculated according to weight, and to a kilogram (2.2 pounds), it costs me about 10 pounds, and I am looking for something close to it. The order doesn't weigh that much actually, it's 750 gms of tangiers lucid and 1 small tang bowl, so it shouldn't cost too much right? I am mostly home these days after having quit my job for studies and anyway, there is always someone at home so there is no chance of my package being left at the door and nobody noticing? I mention this because I've read some threads about how cheap shipping methods sometimes leads to that? If anyone knows anything, please tell me. I'd be grateful. Thanks. PS : I tried placing the order myself but I never got replies from the vendors I contacted for a quote on international shipping, so this was kind of a last resort. vendetta_revived
The least expensive option there is $30 (which I am sure my package won't fit in). My whole order was about 60. Wow! Pretty fucked I is then.

vendetta_revived
$121? No thank you. Wow! Seems like I will get my baccy next year. I just called one of my cousins who had shipped a few items to her brother who was in US at that time, it had cost em like $13. Now I am sad. Thanks a lot for trying though. sheik_steampunk
Hey man, one of my friends recently traveled to Dubai and came back, and he was mentioning that as per Indian custom regulations one person is allowed to carry upto 150 or 250 grams of tobacco. (I could be wrong though with the numbers) But the thing is I do remember seeing him pull out 2 tins of flavor out, which seemed decently sized. Why don't you check the Indian Customs website to see how much a person can carry? Because if shipping is out of the question, an acquaintance carrying it while travelling is your next best option. vendetta_revived
He will come back next year man. And he went alone on this project from his company, so don't know if any of his acquaintance is gonna be coming back here. Will check though.......thanks.
