The hoses that John sells with his hookahs are significantly better as well. That would be reason in and of itself to justify the price differential.

The green one in the last link? You mean the 25% will be on $94 ? Even then, it comes out to cost $70....and I am based in India. The shipping would be $50 at least.

I actually am a bit suspicious now, I was just talking to the guy on phone....and tried bargaining with him (I am broke. ).....and he agreed to sell me one for $65? That's a $10 cut for a customer ON PHONE!

Nah, not that much of a stretch to offer you a discount. Like anything they order in volume, so he's probably got 100-200 hookahs between what's in the shop, and what's in his storage. Offering a discount to get you into the shop isn't that much of a stretch at all. Because he knows you won't walk out with only the hookah. You'll probably grab tobacco, coals, etc., So he'll end up offering you a package deal and still make a profit.

I probably would have taken a package deal but he told me on phone that they only stock afzal, and I made it clear that I won't be buying any tobacco from them. I am ordering some tang noir from john anyway.

$20? Wow that makes me sad. was gonna go to western union yesterday to transfer the money to John but they were closed by the time I got a reply from him about a query I made (an addition to a zillion ones), because of the time difference.
