ilikemyusername
So heres the deal, I have all this tangiers lucid apple, I don't like smoking it. it has a nice sweet taste on the tip of my tongue and tastes akin to an apple. This I like! On the exhale it tastes like a dark waxy tobacco. This I don't like. Is this normal? My setup; Mya colossus with tang small phunnel and 2 cocos, v4 narb or Mya QT with alien mini, 2 cocos and razan hose or MZ Nefertiti "B" with Razan hose and tang small phunnel or any combination of the three with egyptian and Mya bowls thrown in for sport. it tastes like it could be so good but it's barely tolerable because of the exhale. It's almost nauseating. Has anyone ever had to deal with this? oh, and I've had the tobacco for atleast over a month, it smells good when I open the container but when I stir it it smells like the exhale only sweet. I don't know how much more acclimation this shisha can handle .
Zildjian
is this your only tangiers? because tangiers does have a slight tobacco taste. (as a side note id buy a lil off ya too lol)
MichaelLCP
Tangiers definitely has a more tobacco taste. And if it's lucid, you shouldn't need to acclimate it at all.
UltimateHookah
This may be odd. Is that the only Tangiers you have tried? Maybe it's supposed to be this way. Although, I have never thought of Apple by Tangeirs to be too sweet. It's very smooth and almost "nutty". Maybe like caramel...then again, caramel is pretty sweet. It brings out the flavor even more when acclimating lucid. Flavors can change on exhale. And Some flavors seem to be stronger then others. from tang wiki site. I hate to say it but i don't think your doing anything wrong, thats just the way it is use this link and and click on apple it will give you alot of info http://tangiers.docbase.net/
Epoch
Also, apple is one of the less-loved Tang flavors. Maybe it's just not your cup of tea?

king_lunchb0x
huh either im not doing something right or I am just unlucky. Edit: ok question then: where do you guys normally order from and is it always from them? i wonder if it has to do with who I order from and temps the tobacco is stored at there? I think 9 out of 10 bags of tang lucid AND noir have to be acclimated for me. Edited May 4, 2011 by king_lunchb0x

ilikemyusername
This is not my first tango with tang. I've had lucid rasberry, tasty peach, juicy peach, horchata, mint something or other, I've had problems with tang but I've pretty much got it all figured out, I put it in my container, obsess over it for a few days, it never acclimates, I shove it in the closet and forget about it for a month or so then smoke it! this apple just tastes bad. jorlyfish
I've never had Apple, but I know some of the weaker Tangiers flavors have a noticeable tobacco flavor. I had some Koke, and I could definitely taste the tobacco (as well as cola flavor), even though it smelled great - just like Coke, no soy sauce or BBQ smell - in the tub. I've heard others say the same. It might just be a property of the Apple flavor, and not anything that you're doing.
