besos
So I ordered this amazing hose in pink from hookah-shisha and completely bedazzled it being the girly girl that I am. When it came, I noticed that the pink on both the plastic tips were chipping. The tint was already really faded. You can't tell from this picture because my iPhone does a magnificent job at picking up and intensifying colors. I shrugged it off because it preformed amazing. However, I've wash it a little over 5 times within the past month and the tint is starting to come off completely. My friends never had a problem with theirs and I've compare it to at least five other hoses. Hookah-Shisha stated that the faded tint doesn't count as a defective item so they can't exchange it for me. I was bummed but I continued to use it. Maybe it was the quality of the entire tip period but the mouthpiece snapped on me when I tried to put the hose together after washing it out. (I stopped washing the mouthpiece due to the fading tint.) I'm really not that strong so I want to say that I doubt it was me... The plastic part is now broken and I really don't want to spend $30 on a new hose. I tried looking up components for the Nammor hose and only found these: http://www.hookahcompany.com/hose_components_140_ctg.htm They're not exactly what I'm looking for because I want one that goes with my hose. I know pink is extremely hard to find but if anyone can help me get a hold of anyone who has their parts, that would be awesome.
Stuie
Contact H-S they may replace it for you. If not H-C is about the only place with replacement tips. Thought about grabbing a couple myself.
meggers.m
I love the hose, how did you get the letters on like that? and I found this for this mouth tips... http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-3976-fancy-nammor-hookah-hose-mouthpiece.html
Chreees
I think she put those little adhesive rhinestones on it to make the letters. The hose tips you linked to I would like to mention something- Those are not like what you get with the Nammor hose. Those have metal in them which I personally find to be uncomfortable smoking from. Others may have no problem with it, but for me, it's gotta be plastic or glass. The metal just bothers me for some weird reason. Either way, I have one of those tips and it's kinda garbage, to be honest.
grock
Both my Nammor hose tips faded severely. A blue one and an orange. One also has cracks in it. Also had to re-glue both gaskets. Im surprised your friends didn't have any issues. That being said, they still preform just fine and I love my hoses. If you have the cash flow, Id definitely look into the glass tips that Crown Hookah makes. Im trying to swap my tips out for the Trumpet piece. Willis
I'm very surprised none of your friends have had any issues. I had a red nammor tip snap in half the 3rd day I had it, and my blue one is chipped and cracked and looks hardly even blue anymore. I have had it for nearly a year now, but still. I've tried the tonic hoses and also the fancy hoses, and you can buy 3 tonic hoses for the price of a nammor, and nearly 10 fancy hoses for the same price, and they smoke just as good, imo. Stuie
What do you people do with your hoses? I have a nammor in every color. Some as old as 4 years old. Worst problem i have had is I have to reglue 3 gaskets. No biggie. With a few night exceptions of reviewing hoses. I smoke out of one of my nammors daily. All my hose tips are intact and have the original color in them. Granted my Yellow and my light pink handles have gotten kinda dirty but that's totally my fault. Chreees
Yeah, same here, Stuie. You people must abuse your Nammors, haha.
grock
-blue one came with a large crack or fracture from H-S, but it hasnt gotten worse, and I dont see it shattering any time soon -I believe colors faded after I cleaned them thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and very hot water rinse and brushes. :/ -gaskets are a common issue
mushrat
my nammor fell apart almost overnight. Though it was a first generation Nammor i understand the 2.0 version had the same issues. i guess each to their own.
I think there has been a change in build quality over the last year. My first Nammor (2-3 years ago) was awesome and the only reason I got another one was because it was too short. The new one I got (last year), ended falling apart completely after first wash and was replaced by HS. The replacement started falling apart after 5th wash. I had to break out the hot glue gun. It's shame really. I got a Razan hose on order so will try those out and see if they fair better.
Epoch
No idea how you people kill so many Nammor hoses. I've owned five of them, all ordered apart from each other. It's been years and they all still work. Replaced one tip grommet in the last few years, that's all... Edited January 30, 2012 by Epoch
Blakefox
If pink is a must, I would try contacting crownhookahs and explaining what you'd like. I know they used to offer pink "wand" mouthpieces, though I can't seem to find them, and I remember then being like 15 or 20 bucks. I had gotten mine on sale. U won't have to worry about them chipping or fading either, strong glass. Would be better in the long run.
