Shnordle
So here is my dilemma. I am stuck between buying this crown hookah bowl, and this glass phunnel bowl which would be paired with this glass topper. I am hearing that crown hookah bowls are better, but the idea of not having to ever use foil again sounds really appealing, yay no Alzheimer! haha But yea, has anyone tried both and can give me a good comparison to the two? Dereksd
crown bowls are made with great care and santino the owner is a great dude in the industry. i have owned 2 crown bowls and they were both amazing. Plus from what i remember glass screens were failbot

EvansLight
If you can wait a while, I am getting one of the Hookah Cousins bowls in to review, and can let you know about those. I can't speak to the crown bowls, as I have never had one. But the people behind the HC bowls are the same people (at least for the most part, as far as I know, don't quote me on this) behind the MNH bowls. So look for some reviews on the MNH bowls and that is pretty much the same you might be getting. Once again, not 100% sure, but like I said, I should have one by mid next week to review. antouwan
crown. scrap the glass cover. if you're really salivating over it, i'm sure santino can make you one - that way you aren't paying ridiculous shipping for little pieces from all over the place. crown bowls are THE shit. i don't even use my phunnels anymore. joelhookah
I have had a MNH glass phunnel and glass cover since 2009 and am definitely not a fan. Glass cover takes forever to heat up. The bowl is hard to clean and heat management is a pain in the ass. I should sell it.
claytronmeans
Joel, Crown bowls are none of those things. I can't speak for how long the screen takes to heat up, however crown bowls are very easy for heat, and cleaning.
joelhookah
I was giving him an opinion on the glass phunnel bowl, not the crown. ChicagoRSX
I have the Crown Classic. I must say as of right now, it's probably my favorite bowl to smoke out of. Doesn't take long at all to heat up, and with the right heat management(which isn't hard at all, as I consider myself a hookah newb still) I have gotten this bowl to smoke for just shy of 3 hours, with great flavor and excellent clouds. Clean up is easy. And the quality of Crown's bowls are second to none in terms of glass. But if your looking for a phunnel, I also own Crown's Micro phunnel. It's an excellent little bowl, that saves you on shisha, and still gives great smoke and flavor. So that might be something to consider.

vendetta_revived
Same as everyone said, I've not used an MNH glass bowl so can't comment on it, but crown bowls scream of quality and performance.
atalanta
I just got a mod phunnel bowl from H-S and I like it. Let me smoke a couple more bowls and I'll post a review (we'll need a generic bowl thread). It heats well and either I'm getting better with heat management or it manages heat well because I didn't get harshed as quickly as I had been. Chreees
Okay, here's my feelings on this.... HookahCousins is the new site from the same people who ran MNHookah, from what I'm to understand. I lost a lot of respect for MNHookah because even though they were basically shut down, they were STILL accepting credit card orders. Some people got their orders, but it took month(s), and from what I recall a few never got their orders. Either way, that was not a cool move on MNHookah's part. Therefore I would not buy anything from HookahCousins, based solely off of that. Also, Santino is a great guy with excellent customer service, who gets your product to you in a very timely fashion, and ensures 100% total satisfaction. He has replaced products before, free of charge (Squidget comes to mind here with her Stache hose tip breaking and Santino seeing her post on here and sending her a new one even before she contacted him about it). So who would you rather give your money to... Not to mention, you don't hear much about MHHookahs/HookahCousins glass products anymore, but you hear nothing but excellent things about CrownHookahs stuff. And if you want/need a glass screen for your glass phunnel bowl, Santino will be debuting those shortly judging from the CrownHookahs Facebook page. I have owned a good few CrownHookahs products and can honestly say they are awesome and work well.

New name, new attitude, new business plan... if they are trying that hard to seperate themselves from their former association it might be worth giving them a second chance. Chreees
True, but... gotta remember such things. I remember how many people they upset and they didn't seem to care. Not cool. Plus, they really pissed me off about price-hiking the last of the Tangiers Blueberry when they started up as HookahCousins. Tangiers Blueberry that was years old, in Eric's old packaging, meaning its shelf life was not as long as stuff that is in the current packaging... evilded777
I own two of the HC formerly MNHookah glass funnels, and I don't recommend particularly. I own the mini and a full size jet. They look nice, but they just don't function well. Sure, I can smoke out of them, but its more complicated than it should be for a phunnel design. Also, don't know if anyone else has experienced this, stuff just does not taste the same in these bowls. Last time I used the jet it was for a bowl of Tangiers Schnozzberry, and... well, I took it off and packed another. I've used the mini a couple of times recently, because of all the talk about glass bowls and I wanted to refresh my memory. Got it to smoke ok (foil, skip the glass cover that just never worked right), but in the end... it went back on the shelf. I may try a Crown bowl one of these days, but have not yet.
