Barnzy02 Posted August 1, 2006 Share Posted August 1, 2006 i'm sittin here at work, waitin for the ups guy to show up with my shisha. i ordered last week, went away for the weekend and hoped my shisha would show up for monday. well it never showed, it's supposed to come today. i'm lookin forward to trying out the havana brand and i'm also gettin the romman lemon wood coals. so it's new stuff all around for me. i got 250g of strawberry banana, apricot, and bahraini apple. i'm hopin they turn out well. it's been really damn hot here lately too, so im hopin the humidity wont affect it too much either. When I'm unable to be home to recieve the package, they deliver really early.. but when I am home to recieve the package, they deliver really late. They are against me!Is the Strawberry & banana the already mixed flavor? If so, let me know how you like it.. Barnzy02 Posted August 2, 2006 Author Share Posted August 2, 2006 well, i got home and since it was like 103 out all day and i had to walk home with the box of shisha under my arm. but i opened them up, and they all smelled really nice. the strawberry/banana was the only one that seemed a little funky. but after about an hour of sitting, they all started to smell real nice.so we decided to go with a bowl of apricot. it was a little tricky with the coals. it was my first attempt with the lemon wood coals, had to go break them up. i didnt realize they were gonna come in such big chunks.so after that i fired up a piece of coal. it started smoking real nice, for about the first 20 minutes, then it started dying out, so i figured i didnt have a big enough piece of coal so i put another half on. after that it smoked nicely for another 40 minutes or so. i got a nice hour long session out of it.smoke density wasn't as thick as some al amir flavors i had recently had. but was not poor by any means.the flavor was dead on, tasted a lot like an apricot.the cut of it reminded me of a nakhla peach or something along those lines. it was a bit more moist than nakhla but not as wet as al amir. was an enjoyable smoke, and i feel it is definitely gonna be a flavor my girlfriend and i continue to smoke for awhile. [/quote] well i wanted to smoke right away, but there were other circumstances. i needed to eat, so i had to cook dinner. and such other things. i refuse to smoke on an empty stomach anymore. but i also want each hookah to be as good as possible, so i'll usually take 30 minutes preparing it. freezing some water, cleaning, packing the bowl nice, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I thought it was great. the smell of the shisha reminded me of a candied apple. no anise, just straight red apple. i mixed snapple apple in the base with the water, just cuz i havent done something like that in awhile. i put two pieces of coal on it and it started smokin up right away. real nice and thick. it tasted almost just as sweet as it smelled. a really enjoyable smoke. i was definitely pleased with ordering it and will enjoy smoking the 250g of it. the strawberry banana was a little different. the smell didn't really remind me of strawberry banana, but it was still a pleasing smell. when i first started to smoke it, it had a cool taste to it that reminded me of an orange flavor. after about 15-20 minutes, i didnt notice the fresh taste and it started to taste a bit better. when i first started smoking it i easily figured it to be the worst of the 3 flavors i had ordered. but the longer i smoked it, the less it disappointed me. all in all, i'm pretty pleased with my order. i don't feel like i wasted any money by ordering these flavors.
