I'm very sorry. It didn't allow me to edit my posts, and my laptop went kind of batsh*t insane on me, deciding it should just go ahead post the topic without my permission. Here is the full message I wanted to post.

Hi again,

a few days back I posted a thread about problems I was starting to have with my hookah. I couldn't get it to light anymore, the smoke would always be harsh and I got massive headaches and nausea from smoking/ The causes of these problems turned out to be:

1) A hose that was too small
2) The worst of the two: a giant airleak

That's right, the grommet between the base and the stem is leaking air like mad. It explains the harsh smoke and why I can't pull any smoke. When I gently blow the hose, a huge load of smoke escapes from between the base and the stem and almost nothing from the purge valve.

So, any of you guys had troubles with leaks? Were you able to fix them, or did you have to let your hookah go? How did you fix it? Can it be fixed at all?

Oh that's where the leak was? I suppose you could fix it with some electrical tape around the grommet?

I'd say tape it up, replace the grommet or get some of the expandable grommets to fill in the gaps...
