Hassouni
Inspired by people's use of Superchiefs, and me only having female-stem pipes, I figured, hey, maybe I can use my wide shallow clay bowl from Lebanon, and pack it like a SC, since it's so wide and the holes are smack in the center: By God, it works! packed tightly around the rim, nothing over the holes. Maybe not quite as good as a funnel, but almost! Now I don't have to deal with adapters anymore. Sweeet FYI, Hookahjohn has the same bowls in female configuration on his site, http://www.hookahjoh...hallow-138S.htm They're half the price of a Tangiers bowl, so for the cash-strapped smoker who likes Tangiers, I'd recommend it. king_lunchb0x
nice, for those few elmas owners and such can still enjoy tang with out shelling out another 20$ for an adapter piece
Hassouni
well, bear in mind the ones on John's site are Egyptian style. I meant it more for people who didn't wanna pay $17 or whatever for a Tangiers bowl
Arcane
uhhh, the same thing works for an egyptian... it's how it was packed prior to the invention of the phunnel bowl.
Hassouni
Yes, but this bowl in question has a big wide surface outside the holes, SORT of like a Superchief or that Sapphire bowl. Most Egyptians I've seen don't have much extending outside the area where the holes are. In other words, I was able to pack tight and still get good airflow
mushrat
http://www.hookahcompany.com/tangiers_large_hookah_head_1132_prd1.htm In these low, wide, non-phunnel Tangiers classic bowls.
