ChicagoRSX
I'm really sick of hearing about their labor strike and work stoppage. A bunch of millionaires and billionaires crying about their money. While honest, hardworking folks are loosing their jobs and homes. Am I supposed to really feel bad for those babies? I see these people on my FB feed saying they have no idea what they will do if there is no football this fall, it makes me want to hit something. I mean, I like watching football and I love my Bears, but my life will go on. And I know that when the owners and players finally reach an agreement, it will only be the fans that get screwed on most likely higher ticket prices. It will be a long time before I give another of my hard earned dollars to them or that league. Sorry HF, I just had to get that off my chest. What do you all think/feel about it? P.S To the admins, hope my use of a$$ doesn't violate terms here, not looking to get banned. Thanks.

Chreees
I think they all get grossly overpaid, plain and simple. Sorta like our politicians!!! If they get their way and football carries on or if no agreement is reached and we don't have football for a while, I don't care either way. Honestly if they wanna quit because they don't feel they're making enough money, I'm sure there's other potentially great players that would gladly step in and play for a fraction of the pay. Hell, it might even be refreshing... And they may actually be more concerned about the game, and not so much about money. ...Sorta like our politicians!!! Ass is fine... I like ass. Football can go away and these guys can try finding real jobs in this economy with their Bullshit degrees from their respective colleges.

Click
It's amazing how the income of athletes has gone up over the years. For example Joe DiMaggio made $100,000 dollars in 1951. Adjusted to current dollars that would just under a million dollars. And A-Rod makes what? 30 million a year or some shit like that. I know this is a crude example, but I feel like back in the day the athletes played because they enjoyed the game and often returned to regular career after their playing days were over. TheScotsman
Just a bunch of overpaid tossers. Hell with them. Think of the resources the states waste on infrastructure, and services just to maintain the facilities for a game that has 8 home events a year. SaintPendulous
I seriously hope they get it figured out....i think their tryin to split $7 billion...? some stupidly large ammount, and the owners arent ok with the 50-50 split for some dumbass reason even though they have TV rights and other stuff they make money off of even if they dont have a season whereas if they players arent getting paid...their fucked, HOWEVER a judge told the owners they cant touch the tv rights money untill its all over So hopefully they get their heads and wallets outta their tightasses and just let em play, seriously its not just the players it will hurt, somehwere along 3 million jobs will be lost between tv crews, costodians, ticket takers, vendors, chefs....all the people YOU DONT see will hurt way worse than the players as well im sure as the citys that host the team
