tranoid no ki
I have a friend on another forum who found this thing, and honestly, I don't know what to think of it other than that its so unnecessary. Also at $39.99, give me my phunnel http://buyhookahflip.3dcartstores.com/

Chreees
Oh noes, another Flip thread. What's really funny is it cost $50 when they debuted it. In my opinion, if it doesn't work for Tangiers, then I don't need it. But then again, I'm kind of a Tangiers fanboy...

Chreees
Everyone that hasn't tried it has said it's stupid and a bad idea pretty much, but everyone who has actually bought it has said it ain't too bad.

MichaelLCP
Alright so here is the plan. I just thought of this. 1. I'll buy one. Do an honest review and put this whole thing to rest. 2. Since no one will want to buy it off me. We can pass it around the forums so everything can try it. Sound good? K. Plan commence!

Chreees
Well, joking aside... It would allow everyone to see it for themselves, try it out, and give an honest opinion of it.

superbeefy2050
The idea of holding dripping, hot shisha above the coals is a bad, super bad idea. The only plus side to this thing is that I could probably come up with an idea to build an electric coil in the coal part and make an electric hookah. I think it could be done, but there's no way I'm investing that much money in it.
Chreees
The thing that puzzles me is the ones who have tried it have said that the juices don't really drip down onto the coals. I just don't understand how this can be.

thehelios
The only reason I can think of as to why this DOESN'T drip onto the coals is that with a standard bowl, the air pressure is being lowered into the stem. With the flip, since we're always having the air go upwards, it might actually keep pulling the juices UP into the tobacco and this prevents it from seeping down through the foil. I think the best test is to just fill the bowl up with wet tobacco, let it sit for about 15-20 minutes without being smoked and see if it drips then. Can someone try this out? noodle
Someday when I get a house with a proper workshop, I'd take one of those big pyrex phunnels, evacuate the air and seal it up to make a nifty lightning [s]ball[/s] er, thing.
