From what I can tell, the Coconaras are the old flat design. The Cocomazayas are their "cube" design they came out with. Personally, they both work fine for me since I always split my coconut coals in half

Hookahset did that without first calling you?

Let it fly, guys...

Anyway, as for the coals, I've heard nothing but good things. A lot of people actually even prefer them over the Coconara flats. Cocomazaya are made by the same company that makes Coconaras, so no worries, they're legit coals. Cocomazaya are what they decided to name their cube-shaped Coconaras. You see, at first they had the CCN flats. Then they stopped the flats and we're only doing cubes for a short while. A lot of people bitched, saying the liked the flats better. So they brought the flats back, and brought the cubes back, but under a different name. So now they're easier to distinguish and everyone's happy and can buy what they like. :)

Just picked up Mazayas after the local lounge told me to try them out. Same quality, cube shape. The only gripe I have is that after I split them they break into pieces when I ash them. More than likely that's just the humidity though.

the cube is supreme! all hail the cube! I like the cubes better. The flats are too hot and end up having to cut them in half. The cubes are just right and the last longer too.

If I am not mistaken. CM is a division of CCN. CCN is going to be flats and CM is going to be cubes. That's what I thought but h-s got a massive shipment of CCN Cubes a while back.....

Old stock from when they made the cubes under the Coconara name, perhaps? I don't know if it's still the same, but when I went to the Coconara website they had the Cocomazayas advertised, saying something along the lines of "our new coal" or "new from Coconara" or something.
