malakas
If any of you out there hail from Chi-city how about sharing your favorite shops and lounges?
yashman19
I'm guessing you are looking for first hand experience with lounges in Chicago, which I can't offer, but if you take a look at http://www.hookahculture.com and scroll down to Illinois, it lists a couple lounges. See if you recognize any of them and check them out.
joetuo
I hail from outside chi-town, I have never smoked in the city but I have been to a couple lounges in the suburbs. I like Fumare they have decent prices and a nice atmosphere, there VIP lounge is awesome except you gotta have like 8 people but its a small room with big ass pillows and drapes all around it, like a room a sultan would chill in it's pretty sweet. Fumare is in schaumburg, they also sell hookahs, shisha, and coals.Another place that is smaller but nice too is Mr. shesha's Coffeehouse in Naperville. Like I said smaller but still nice atmosphere and pretty chill. Both places open at 6 pm and goto either 11 on weekdays or 2 weekends. Here is a list of others that i have not been to Hookahs
ataneja
as far as retail, i'd say the best is guess hookah. they have a lot of hookahs and tobacco. there is a smoke shop near broadway and clark which has hookah-hookah tobacco which i've taken a liking to. Sonthert
PoopyOmega is from Chicago, too.Guess Hookah is in Chicago, I hear they are cool. They carry Tangiers, which is all I really need to know. Makes me a little biased, too, I guess.
HOOOOOKAH
There's a new joint near broadway and devon called smokey's place that I found. It's not the hugest selection in the world but definitly NICE prices, lots of shisha flavors. It's like kiddy corner from loyola college
joetuo
Like I said earlier im from the burbs, is there any place downtown that sells Tangiers or Fumari?
malakas
Off the top of my head the only spot I've seen Tangiers is at Guess Hookah. It's not downtown though, it's in our Ukranian Village, 1829 W. Chicago ave., Chicago. You could always go try the shops on or around California and Devon. If you happen to be in Skokie or something, the hookah shop I go to is at that Pita Inn marketplace, not too sure if they carry your brands though. joetuo
Nice my GF lives about 30 mins from skokie, what do they sell at Pita inn? Also do you know if Guess hookah sells tangiers or just sells it to smoke there?
malakas
Guess Hookah sells Tangiers. That store isn't "Pita Inn" it's this store like right next too it. I haven't taken a good look at the selection over there cause I usually just stop in for 3 Kings coals when I'm running low. They carry a lot of nice hookahs (I think I saw a few myas. As for shisha, I think they carry Al Amir, Al Waha, and Al Fahker.

malakas
Allow me to plug Pita Inn the restaraunt too. GREAT food! And they got a lunch special: Shwarma, kabob, rice, a green salad, fresh pitas and it's like $4. Baklava there is to die for.
ghostofdavid
$4 is a good price for just about any meal.
joetuo
Went to GuessHookah yesterday and that place is the sh*t man. Best lounge I have been to by far. The atmosphere was awesome and the prices were great. Also the store that is on the lounge has friggin everything (no tangiers, must have been out ) I did get to pick up some fumari watermelon which I can't wait to try. When I was there I smoked chocolate chip mint and that was pretty damn good. The lounge is also sweet because you can see them setting up the hookah. Best part about that was when it was all setup to get it going they stuck the hose into the end of a vaccum...10 seconds later the hookah was going so well. If you are ever in chicago or live around chicago it is a definate must to go there. Also the staff there is very knowledgeable and on there toes to get you whatever you need.
