squidget
Just saw on HC (nice site redesign) and was wondering is anyone going to get one? It looks pretty bad ass. I'm not allowed to buy any more hookah stuff unless I get rid of something I already have.

Not everyone likes the open feel of it though.
Click
Reminds me of last years KM "AS" Pro Hose. Thick gauge, non-washable, yada yada yada. Same shit, different style. That's why I said it's just a different style. The AS Pro hose has a 7/8 inch diameter.

Click
They both have attached tips and have a similar weight hose port tip which can cause problems if too heavy. I bet they function the same so it's merely a question of which looks better for your tastes and hookah set-up. I'm sure at a certain point the gauge of the hose doesn't matter so much because it is limited to the stem and hose port of the hookah. I'm more in favor of the 3 piece leather KM hoses. Any favorable aesthetics are secondary benefits.

But yeah, I agree with your post and am sure you're accurate on all points.
kevin2323
wrong. here is just one example: all you simply have to do is read the products description. "At a whopping 14mm, the opening of this hose's end pieces are 4-6 mm wider than the average Khalil Mamoon hose." if you actually buy one and test it out and say it is identical to the pro hose then ill gladly buy it off of you and add another to my collection. this thing is on another planet. it is huge!
it was made for the regal hookah. which has a thicker downstem than KMs. if you want more information, im sure kris from tangiers, if he is on this board can help you out with more info. all i can say is try it, there is a difference. and from what it looks like you couldnt tell a difference from a reg km hose compared to an AS hose? if im reading that correctly then that might be the problem. if not I dunno, we might have to agree to disagree. but as an owner of both, I think my point holds some validity.
Where did I even remotely suggest that? The only time I mentioned a regular KM hose was when I said that my favorite functioning and quality hose is the 3 piece leather KM hose and any style they may have is extra. It even says on HC that the "AS" Pro hose is " the widest gauge hose from Khalil Mamoon". I'm just saying that at a certain point of hose diameter the gains in function are small and style, color, and quality become the main factors. I'm not arguing that the KM Beast hose is not a great hose. Perhaps it is one of the best. I'm just saying it is isn't unfamiliar.

Click
I wonder what they mean by rust-proof? We've heard that before with a different KM hose which turned out to still have the metal coil inside. Not sure if I'm ready to dissemble one of these to find out.
i think eric from tangiers tore one apart, dont quote me on it. but apparently it doesnt have the steel coil but you cant wash it because the cardboard material inside falls apart. hence it being rustproof and not washable

Chreees
KM meant to make it truly washable, but they fucked up and still made them with cardboard handles for some reason. So the hose part is washable, but the handle is not. It was Georgie from HC who told me this. He said KM is planning on eventually bringing over the washables, but for now, we have the rustproofs. Click
Yeah so basically it's the same regarding washability (dunno if that's an actual word). It looks like a legit hose though. I'm not one to be involved with washable hoses since I have dedicated hoses to certain flavors.

I've got two hoses right now- a custom Nammor and a regular Nammor. Then Jay's sending me two Temsah hoses, and once I get those some flavor group dedication is definitely happening. But yeah, definitely heading that way, to be in the same boat as you.
Click
I really want one of the temsah hoses. I love the handles, but didn't have the money to buy one when they flooded the market. Also, the Turkish hoses are real nice too. Weren't you making the custom wrapped hoses for a while?
