If A Bowl Has Enough Left For Another Coal, Can You Save It For Later?

Recommended Posts

Alrighty, I'll do so. Any suggestions for keeping it fresh? Maybe a ziplock? Lack of money demands I conserve my shisha >_>

Just leave it in the bowl, replace the foil if you feel the need to do so, but I usually just let it sit, then throw coals on when I want to smoke it again.

You can. I don't though. No judgement on anyone who does, I just think its kind of gross and it never tastes, or smokes the same for me; That's why when I don't plan on smoking long, I grab my HJ alien phunnel or mini egyptian bowl.

It's not really hookah lingo. :P It's an analogy, and comes from the term "necrophilia". If you don't know what that means, don't look it up, it's gross.

it's pronounced as neh-crow bowl btw.

lmfao yeah I know what that means, thanks

As far as I am aware, this isn't directly related to necrophilia -- "necro" just a Greek root meaning death. It's in a lot of other words too.

I do it all the time, but only with Tangiers. AF, Nak, and Social Smoke all seem to not like this treatment in my experience, but typically I can smoke a whole bowl of those shishas in one sitting.
I'm not the type who can sit and smoke for 3-4 hours at a time, so I relight Tangiers bowls after having left them in their original state (no refoiling, no baggies, etc.) I still get flavor from a re-lit bowl, but it takes a little bit longer to get going, and the flavor isn't as intense usually. I still find them enjoyable though.

You can smoke it later, but it will taste more burnt than you think it will, becausewhen you take your last coal off, the flavour is still burning for another 5-10 mins inside!

Flavours such as mint, especially Al Fakher, strong flavour should be fine even if you smoke a day later!

being as im the only one who smokes out here, i necro all the time.... waste not i say, besides ill pack a bowl smoke for around 30 minutes or so, kill the pos ql i use, and pick it up again the next day lol

and yes af mint, grape, and my special mix of melon, watermellon, and cocktail all smoke well on a necro'd bowl..... i have found the not so strong flavors like lemon didnt taste near as good the next day... so ill just mix the lemon in with the other flavors from here on lol

You could be right, idk, see a lot of the times, it's used like it's used in the post I am quoting below, and that certainly says that you're doing something to the dead?

I've necro'd a phunnel full of pharaoh honeydew before with good success. Haven't tried it with any other flavor though.

Right, but they're using it as a "re-lit this 'dead' bowl" --- like I said, it's in a lot of words. Necrosis comes to mind-- the premature death of cells.

Alright, I'm about to try something different, half necro. Gunna' clear out the more spent looking shisha, leaving the fresher shisha to be mixed with some actual fresh shisha. I'll see how it goes.

This seems to work well in my experience.
I know this is not the same as what you're saying, but just in case you think of it -- I wouldn't throw the old shisha (the semi-good stuff at the bottom of the bowl) in the package with unused shisha. It dilutes the the good stuff. A good analogy is when teenagers steal liquor from their parents and fill the bottle back up with water a couple times (er, not that I endorse this or even know this is a thing people do :pardon:)... eventually you're gonna have some reeeeallly watery, ineffective liquor.
