How sad is it that we still use that here?

My first job was feeding machines in a print shop.

Dairy Creem, a rip-off of a Dairy Queen. I only worked there as a few months. Quit because I got accused of breaking the shake machine when in fact I did not. I then landed my first job as a hotel desk clerk and been doing it ever since (past ~5 years).

I'm still at my first job -- in my defense, I started there a year ago, haha. I work at a salon as a receptionist/salesperson, because we also have a very large store in the front of the place. My official title is "Beauty Consultant" which just cracks me up... come consult me about all of your beauty concerns! Anyway, I deal with some extremely high maintenance people and this job makes me seriously dislike most people from my area of Cincinnati. But I have learned to never, ever treat retail people like crap. On the plus side, I really enjoy most of the people I work with and I have made some great friends from this place. Also, I love getting to learn about and try out new hair products and with my incredible discount, I am able to do that often.

worked a food stand at the san diego fair.....it wasa fish and chips place, but it got me on tv for like 3 seconds in all, at 3 different times. The show was the Next Iron Chef on food network. I was pissed when I figured it out because I would have killed to meet Alton Brown! but the chefs got screwed when they found out all our chefs didnt speak english hahahhaha!

I had 3 jobs at once in high school as my "first job" got hired to all of them within 2 days of each other so I worked 2 days at each job so I never got tired of them:
Arby's drive-thru/cashier
Barista at a local coffee place
Tourny orgonizer for a local LAN shop

Made a killing though, was able to save up just over 9k before heading off to college :)

Not sad at all. It's easy to make and manage small softwares in foxpro imo, but if your file sizes start exceeding 2gb, then they corrupt like a bitch!

I got my first job at Orange Julius in our mall. 5 years later I'm assistant manager haha. This hasn't been my only job though, and they work with my class schedule way better than any other job I've had. I was a banquet server, a sales associate at Best Buy, a paper boy, and a server at a pizza restaurant. Best Buy was my dream part time job though. And the newspaper route was the best paying at 400 a week for 5 hours a night of work.

My first job is a family business that I started the summer before I went into highschool/9th grade, the summer before 9/11...I'm still working it to this day and have worked my way up the ropes. I'm a painter, I started as prep and cleanup/laborer, now officially I'm a subcontractor in the family business and most of my work now adays is AT&T.
This month I have been doing it ten years...
I've worked a half a dozen other jobs, but always stayed employed doing this........now I just graduated college with a B.A. in History, and can't find a job with my degree but fortunately I have my experience in construction
