Scrappydoo
I don't know how many "old timers" remember me, I was on this forum a lot about a year and a half ago. Then some things happened and I kind of dropped off of the planet. Long story short, I was grieving the death of my husband, Adnan when I met Abdullah. I wasn't ready to marry, we dated a while and then he disappeared. In December 2009, he re-appeared, told me he had battled cancer and was wanting to know if I was interested in a relationship again. I was and we married a few months later. Then he got sick again, I stopped smoking shisha and just kind of devoted my time to helping him get better. Lots of drama but finally, THANK GOD things are returning to normal. I found a new good job, we moved to a better neighborhood and well, things are getting back to normal. I apologize if I was offensive to anyone, the stress was eating me alive. Big blue, the pipe in my photo was broken by movers when we moved, so for my birthday this year, my husband bought me a new Khalil Mahmoon (sp?) and knows how much smoking on the patio relaxes me. I have learned to laugh at life's obstacles and keep things in perspective. I really enjoy this forum, like reading reviews of new toys and tobaccos and some of the creative mixes people come up with. Husband is cancer free, still having a few medical problems but we are grateful to have been thru all this stuff with most of our body parts intact! Chreees
Wow, sounds like you went through quite a lot, Scrappy! Glad your husband is now cancer free and doing well. Hope he continues doing well. Glad to see you're back in the hookah game! I totally understand it taking a back seat for you when you had more important things going on in your life. I've been smoking less here lately, due to being so busy with work and school. But I plan on picking up the slack once I graduate in the fall. Remember we're always here for ya. I really believe that GOD doesn't give you more than you can handle even if you aren't agreeing at the time! He seems to be back to normal, whatever that is. Yeah, THIS is why I am convinced that shisha isn't nearly as evil as a lot of people say. You don't see ciggie smokers able to just drop it for bigger things. I realized, thru it all, that taking time for yourself, whether it is a walk on the beach or some good old AF Plum, you have to put yourself first once in a while or you'll be crumbs! COngrats on graduating in the fall, then what is your plan?

I am happy to hear that was inspiring, I'm always here if you need to talk. I hope nothing similar is going on with you but if it is, or someone you know, realize that we get thru these things with faith and a sense of humor. Again, THANKS! Good to be back! Nah, I really don't know. I guess work on getting my business started, even though I don't know what kind of business I want to start! I'm actually looking to start up an old-timey cinema type of place, but I need to make it unique, set it apart from everything else... And by the way, I'm a TV Production major, but don't really want to do anything in that field now, as I now realize every job is a temporary job, and that totally goes against how I am. I need stability, and also something that is my own. So I figure my own business will be a suitable option instead.

Owning your own business has got to be one of the most stressful and rewarding things you can do. it is a dream of mine, too, but here unless it's a beauty salon or small shisha cafe, I can't think of what in Kuwait I'd like to do.
