SocialSmoke Purchase Review: Polaris III

Well anyone following my [url=http://www.hookahforum.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4233]'B-Day Present' thread should have known this was coming. This is a review of my order from Social Smoke, or a hookah and a few boxes of tobaco. First here is what all i bought:

[b]The Buy:[/b] Well the purcahse was simple, no problem. Within a few seconds we got a e-mail with the order details. Next day around 3PM got a call stating they were out of Al Waha Lemon, and was asked if it was ok to send instead the Layalina Lemon. This shows some good customer support.


[b]The Shipping:[/b] Shipping is the part i hate most of any online buying experince. Had a few horrible experiences with shipping companies. Since we had to do a substitution, i was not expecting to get it soon. We had paid for 3 day, and because of this delay, was expecting to recive my order sometime in the middle of the next week. But later that day i was e-mailed a tracking number, and by the next day the hookah arrived at my door.


[b]The Stuff:[/b] Once we got all things out, we checked inventory, and all items were there. Nothing was damaged, and it was all as we ordered. Granted i think we got to much, and of course had nothing to put everything in. But a quick trip to the container store, and we had a case for carrying supplies (can see in the photos section) and some glass jars to store the shisha in.


[b]The Smoke:[/b] Once we had cleaned the hookah, and got everything nice and neat in the case we bought for storage, and the hookah packed away in its custom case, we walked outside, and broke it all out. Started with a blow of Nakhla Peach. All 3 smokers loved the smooth texture, and nice buzz from the smoke. The thicknes wasn't as good as the next bowl, but was decent. The metal screen was working well. We then loaded a bowl with Al Waha Cola. This was our best bowl of the night. Thickest smoke, and best flavour. We tried a blow of each, which needless to say, took us from about 4pm, till around Midnight. No we didnt smoke straight. Went out for a birthday dinner as well. In all the hookah worked like a charm. One of the best smokes ive had since... ever.


[b]Overall:[/b] From the fast shipment, to the excellent product, to cheap price, and also the amazing smoke we got, everything turned out worth it. The Cobra hose was the only small disapointment in all of our purchase, but did speak something about the hoses Social Smoke sends with its hookahs. The ones that came with the hookah worked better, and had a better flow than the Cobra hose. Other than that, the whole purchase and experience was positive.

That thing is huge! How's the stem, is it light? Or nice and sturdy?I used to have those hoses (not the cobra). I find that mya's metal tiped 72" hoses are second to none. Way more flexable, and longer. Not saying the others are bad, but it didn't go well with my small SS hookah...it tended to want to tip and move around when passing hoses.

Yea the hose as i said was the only disapointment. Granted i still love my hose, its pink And thats why we got a 3 hose, i never have more than 3 people smoking, so this saves me time and trouble
