New Hookah Fan, Looking For A New Setup!

Recommended Posts

Hi there.

I've recently been enjoying shisha at a bar and would love to invest some money into my own hookah pipe :). I'm looking to spend about £40 (I'm a student so I'm on a budget), and am not sure what to get. I usually wouldn't resort to asking on forums but I bought one from Camden market for £20 and it is TERRIBLE.

I like the look of this one, but am not sure if it will be any good. Can anybody point me in the right direction to get the most for my money?

Any help is greatly appreciated :).

Looks like a pretty standard Egyptian pipe. Probably decent quality.

For good brands to trust, I can vouch for:
Khalil Mamoon - http://www.shishahookah.co.uk/shisha-pipe/shisha-pipe-khalil-mamoon-cafe/khalil-mamoon-shisha-cafe-pipe
And Mya - http://www.shishahookah.co.uk/shisha-pipe/mya-qt-hookah-pipe (Although note that the hookah in the picture is the Econo QT, not the standard model)

That Khalil Mamoon pipe is really nice, thanks for the post :). Will look into that. Is it true that's the pipe that's used in most shisha bars across the country?

Thanks again.

Both of those pipes are the most popular I see in hookah bars around here.

Awesome, I may shell out a bit more and get that one then. I want one that's at least 23", so if anyone has any other suggestions then please don't hesitate to post :).

Brands commonly built over 23" and recommended across the forum (in order of average pricing, low to high)

Magdy Zidan

Nour/Nawras/Al Fakher syrian hookahs

Temsah brass hookahs

Khalil Mamoon

These are all commonly medium to large lengths, ranging from 25 - 38 inches in height. I can Recommend all of them but the Syrians, seeing as I've never smoked from a Syrian. However, many members here swear up and down Syrian pipes are the way to go.
