Another Small Step Towards Mastering Hookah Use.

I'd been using cheap thin foil all this time, hadn't given it a second thought. And now that I used some heavy duty foil, I remembered (after being told (' - ') ) that I had read that that's what I should have been using all this time. With this first of Nakhla I've had, it's been a lousy smoke half the time. But now with decent foil and two coals on the edges, it's smoking much better.

Maybe I'll eventually get this down right (' - ')

I take back the much improvement. While the smoke was nice, and the [b]EDIT[/b] was one of the best I've had (due in part to the Nakhla, I'm sure), there was very little flavor (might be due largely to the cola flavor... not getting it again), and when I was done and unwrapped the foil from the bowl, it was all lightly burnt, and left the bowl marked. As for your little flavor and little burning problem... Sounds like ya need more coal or a windcover.

This is a simple formula to smoke your nakhla.

Unless the coals you are using are molten lava, chaces are you need three coals. I know hassouni uses 3 and a windcover, full out. I myself us 3, sometimes windcover. With these new lumps I'm using, I will use 4-5 lumps AND a windcover.

Heat is your freind with nakhla, don't be shy.

If it's already slightly burnt, wouldn't a third coal kill it? Or does Nakhla have a burn fetish? It's a small Mya, by the way, and I'm using Exoticas. Edited July 17, 2011 by Moose

Naklah cola to me is a fail unless you actually put some cola in the base, most of the flavor that comes from a coke comes from the bubbles in your throat. put 3 exotica cubes on that bowl, let it warm up for a few minutes before taking your first pull and you should have a nice flat coke taste! Don't worry about burning it, Nakhla is my fav smoke for its ability to produce a nice buzz, nice flavor, nice smoke, nice price and its ability to bounce back from being burned.

I've had good results with 50/50. So half coke and half water. Or just see what works for you. You just don't want the carbonation fizzing into your hose.

We like to 50/50 monster and water gives you a jolt if you don't drink them that often but if u smoke for like 5+ hours with the monster most get head aches but I don't also idk I've been using my little mya a lot cause I don't want to clean anything. But I use a small phunnel on it with 3 sheecool coals and smokes great but depends on urbtobacco and how u pack and what bowl u use. Knowledge is power my friend

GOOD! It's all a learning process, thank GOD for this forum. I started smoking almost 7 years ago, still find myself learning a new tip or trick. When I first started smoking, I went to a shisha cafe and asked the guy to show me how to do everything at home. I've never heard anything good about Nakhla cola, I hope you get some better flavors soon!
