PArdr
Hey all, I'm looking at buying a new hookah of good quality. I've heard good things about the KM's and was thinking about getting one, but on any given night I tend to have 3 other people smoking with me (or more) so I wanted to get something with two hoses. I'm also looking for something at 30"+. Any suggestions? Also, anybody notice a problem with getting a good smoke when you split between two hoses? Epoch
Well, we'll all recommend one-hose over multi-hose. I like Khalil Mamoon, Nammor, Mya, and Nawras hookahs best.
PArdr
Ive been looking between two KM's.. 37" Bastooma: http://www.hookahcompany.com/bastooma_khalil_mamoon_hookah_5879_prd1.htm 34" Abanos: http://www.hookahcompany.com/abanos_khalil_mamoon_hookah_5859_prd1.htm I've heard good things about the latter, but the hose on the first is simply gorgeous. I'm just not sure how well the ice tray works and if it makes it too unstable :/

And the ice trays aren't usually a stability issue.

The whole reason a hookah works trhe way it does is because a vaccum is created, giving the process of inhaling, drawing, and circulating smoke. When you add 1,2,3 hoses, there are two psssibilities with the hookah now. There is either a ball bearing that sticks in the other hoses while one pulls, so the vaccum is created again or everyone "thumbs" their hoses, placing a finger over the end of their hose to create the vaccum for the current smoker. The MYA brand have these ballbearings, but most other multi hose hookahs require your fellow smokers to place a thumb over. There's no difference in smoke quality with multihosers, as long as there are ballbearings or your friends are polite and thumb their hoses. As for multi-hosed hookahs, I would reccomend these two brands: Khalil Mamoon party hookahs: Just as good as the original, but with more than one hose port! If I assume correctly, these do not have ball bearings and require your friends to thumb, however, it doesn't negate the fact that this is a top notch brand, recommended as one of the best hookahs in the making. http://hookahjohn.com/Khalil-Mamoon-Party-Hookahs_c30.htm Another highly trusted brand with a multihose option is MYA. These are sturdy, machine made beasts. Their 15" smoke like 40" hookahs. Not only do these hookahs offer multi hose options, but if you were to buy a single hose hookah, you can buy an adapter piece to turn your single hoser in a two hoser by replacing the purge valve with a hose port. This is the same brand, they just made hookahs that didn't hit your wallet as hard. They smoke the same, just as gd, just made with lighter metals, different glass, etc. Still good pipes, just not the top premium line.) PArdr
Decided to go with the KM Bastooma, and tagged on a tangiers funnel and 250g of Blue Mist Starbuzz shisha. I'll post pictures and a review when it comes in Oh, and thanks for both of your two cents of course Edited July 18, 2011 by PArdr
