Hose Falling Apart

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Have got 2 hoses in need of repair and I need your advice. One is a Nammor and one is a nammor knockoff version.

Nammor knockoff has separated near the stem where the plastic meets the hose. Looks like some sort of silicone glue has been used. Can I use silicone to reattach this?

Nammor hose was dropped and the stem plastic has cracked. Can I glue this together with a strong plastic glue? Like the ones that come in 2 parts

I don't want to use glues that will cause health problems so want to be sure i'm doing the right thing.

Cheers

I wrapped an old hose with plastic wrap and then covered it all with duct tape and was able to use it for a long time. (Ha---soldiers can fix anything with duct tape!) Because of the plastic wrap, I believe that it was protected from any glue on the tape! I think once it's dry, unless it has a low melting point, it won't affect you.

As long as the glue isn't near the heat, it'll be fine. Just read the warnings on the glue packages.
