wheyfast
Good Afternoon,First off I would like to thank everyone on this board for your helpful insight. I have been reading posts and learning in the background. I bought a new MYA Hookah in berkeley California. It is great. I got the quick light coal. It lights great and I let it burn for about 5 min. Before using. The problem is I seem to get a headache from somrthing. I did not know if the coal would have anything to do with that. Any insight would be great. Thanks . Calcartman
Hey! Another bay area buddy!Did you eat before you smoked? Biggest cause of a headache or upset stomach is too much nicotine and not enough in your stomach.
Scalliwag
what brand and flavor of shisha are you smoking? Are you using foil or a screen? Is it smoking good as in not harsh, etc?
MrGuy
how long have you been smoking, a lot of first timers get that problem and similar symptoms after smoking, especially if its a strnog brand. Do you smoke cigarettes or anything else? because once again, if it's a strong brand and you don't smoke any other types of tobacco, it could just be the nicotine rush.Try using a lighter brand or taking bigger gaps between hits or eating a lot before smoking or not smoking as much. Also, it could just be a reaction to the quicklites. maybe try natural coals if it's convenient.
wheyfast
Cali forni a . I am using tin foil. The headache is a n hour or 2 later. It could just be just natural allergies, but I thought I would post and see if anyone else had this problem. The place I bought the Hooka from has a Hookah bar in Albany so they have their own mixes and blends, so far I have had Sex on the Beach, Mocha Coffee, Mint Apple. All very flavorful and good. I had The sex on the beach last night with Mango orange juice in the bowl. Then I thew in some Ice cubes. Damn that was good. Just like desert. All the years I smoked cigars you always try to get those small diffence in flavors. With hooka the flavor is the experience.
malakas
I get headaches when I smoke too often in a short period of time. I'm not talking about in one session, more like if I smoke two sessions in one day or if I smoke like 3 consecutive nights in a week.OR if my friends and I use high proof booze w/ the water. We smoked with everclear in there one time, NOT a pleasent experience afterwards.
ghostofdavid
You aren't inhaling while the quick lighting coals are first lit are you? They might be part of your problem. Smoking on an empty stomach, as already noted, can make people feel ill or lightheaded. Also, just remember to come up for normal air every now and then and pass the hose to a friend to let your brain get its normal flow of oxygen. wheyfast
Tell you the truth. I woke up this morning with a headache. I didn't light the hookah last night so i think it is just allergies. They just happened to coincide with the new hookah smoke .........
