[/i][/b]I was there when Mitchard posted, I was there for DerekSD and MichaelLCP getting out of control. I was there for Mush chiming in, and I was there for the beginning, rising action and climax of this ridiculous turf war. And now, I'm here. I came to this forum after extensive "shopping" for a place that had my exact needs in mind to become a better hookah smoker, a more intelligent individual and overall, a happier person fortified by my favorite hobby (which we seemed to have forgotten about). This place has been my second home for as long as I can remember. I've given tips to those who were like me at their early member stages, donated money and even donated supplies to those who needed it. Why? Because that's how the rest of this forum was. Mature, intelligent and composed. I'm going to make a bold statement and say we've severely strayed frm that. Not all of us, and even some of those in the "heat of battle" are keeping their composure very well. But I'm not here to put people on pedastools, or to point fingers. I'm here to make a declaration. Again, not to draw attention, but to prove a point about the ORIGINAL, AND TRUE REASON why I joined this forum, and only care about being a major part of THIS forum. I will be leaving Hookah Forum, indefinantly. Until this blows over, completely. Not till we stop arguing but still have people taking adventures to other forums, not till we have made fake friendships and truces but still complain in TC, untill it's all completely over with. Some can call me out saying I'm abandoning the forum in it's time of need, or that I'm not a true member of this family because I disassociate myself from the forum when things are good. That isn't the case at all. If it takes a day, great. If it takes a month, so be it. I hold an EXTREMELY high expectation for this forum. Why? Because it was the standard given to me the minute I joined, untill about a week and a half ago. And I see no reason to try and enjoy the wonderful enviornment my second family provides me, when it's clouded by corrupt and childish behaviour, ON BOTH ENDS. Please rest asured I will be making visits, and will immediately return without question or announcement once thigns have returned to the true Hookah Forum, the one I know and love. Once again, people can say it will be lik ethis forever and I'm being stupid, or that I'm not doing my part by helping out, but I could honestly care less about the fight between us and RHF. I care about THIS forum, and as said, hold a EXTREMELY high expectation for the way I enjoy my time here (not that I even expected it, it was given to me that way). It's my right as a HF member to be genuinely selfish, and expect the same amazing experience I always respect from this amazing community. I see no reason to subject myself to this nonsense. I'm not a member of the other forum, but as mush has stated, both forums have overlapping members and topics. To me, it reflects poorly on the community of hookah smokers, regardless of forum preferences, to have this kind of thing going on. Hoping to have you and a calmer HF back soon. I know I was harsh and disrespectful. I just don't know how to phrase my opinion in a nice way. Especially when my opinion isn't nice. I'm sorry this all got out of hand Dave. I to love this site and in the year and 1-2 months I have been here I have noticed this change you speak of. I will miss you when you are gone and look forward to your return. You are a very active member here and always helpful so loss of your insight for the time being is a sad thing. Leaving won't fix it, there will always be people going between forums and there will always be people starting shit as along as we humans are stupid. This isn't Highlander, there can be (and there is) more than one hookah related forum. Who cares if they have different rules or a different way of doing things...in the end, it's all the same. If you like this forum, use it. If you like the other forums, use them too. Or use just one. Or use none. It's up to you, but unless it's something positive, why would anyone feel the need to let what happens in one place bleed into another? I would like to say that just about everyone that is on ANY hookah forum, is there for mostly the same reasons; we love hookah, we want to make the experience more enjoyable, we want to share our experiences, we want to pose questions and have our questions answered. For the people that have been using any of the forums for quite some time, they may feel that they have reached an apex of smoking and don't have much more digging/learning/teaching to do. Is this the reason that this drama even needs to exist? Because you guys are bored? That's the only logical reason I can think of for why anyone would start shit, or continue shit. Dave, good on you for sticking to who you are and what you believe is right. I too hope that things blow over, but because I'm still learning new things, I have no desire to leave. [/quote] Dave wouldn't do something like that, i get other people have already said something but i have gotten to know Dave and he is an awesome guy. He is not the type of guy to do something of this nature.
