Chreees
Brooke bought me the new album "If Not Now, When?" for my birthday as an early gift and I must say, I'm very disappointed. Since Morning View, every album has just gotten worse and worse. I mean, it's tolerable, but barely. This latest album just makes me want to not even bother buying their CDs anymore. The only song I even kinda like is Adolescents. But still, not near as much as their other older stuff. I wish they'd return to some of their roots and stop "growing." The growing part is killing them, IMO. Anyone else heard the new album and have any thoughts?
Lucy Ford
everything you say i agree with. I feel like every album since has one maybe two decent songs on it, but nothing I will continue listening to like their older stuff. When i first heard adolescents I let myself get my hopes up again. Let down again
Chreees
Yeah, it's truly a disappointment. Next album I don't think I'll even bother with.

Incubus is definitely past their prime, though.
Hassouni
Ahem, I have to say, with regards to your old username on here, Rage was by far the superior.

Satou
I can understand if a band wants to explore different sounds or opportunities with their music but it gets to a point where it is frustrating. I love Incubus don't get me wrong but I have to agree with the fact that their music is getting downgraded with every new album they churn out. Which is pretty sad. They should go back to how they used to sound in their older albums rather than continuing on with this mockery. :/
Lucy Ford
S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is an awesome album. I never had a hard copy of it til my ceramics teacher gave me it randomly my senior year of hs. Rage is and will always be better than everything else
Giant Ninja Robot
With all respect to RATM, as a fan of them, they are certainly not better than everything else. I'm a massive Incubus fan. I've connected more with their music than any other band out there over a long period of time. I've been listening to them for about 15 years? While I agree with the general sentiment I also have enjoyed all their albums, including this newest. I miss the dynamics. I miss the energy. That said - Crow Left of the Murder was a pretty damn good album. I despised Light Grenades when I first heard it then it grew on me. If Not Now clicked with me right away. Perhaps I've been sharing the same path of evolution as the band because I find a great listening experience in every album. THAT said: Their first 4 albums are my favorites, though I have the least experience with Fungus Amongus. SCIENCE, Make Yourself, and Morning View do not have a SINGLE track I dislike. One of my favorite tracks is on Light Grenades though. Pendulous Threads is soooo sick. Overall I enjoy the new album for what it is and sing along to it. I am admittedly an Incubus fanboy.
