buzz'd
Ok here is the deal, I bought this hookah the glass base stands about 9inches tall, and the total height of the thing (without the bowl on top is) roughly 18 inches tall. I bought 1200 grams of the Al-Amir shisha, (24 different 50g boxes)- i got it from southsmoke.com if you need a site to reference. When i load up my bowl and smoke my shisha, I am getting nice thick smoke, but unfortunatley the taste isn't quite there for me. The smoke doesn't taste bad, but it doesnt taste like what the flavors say it should. Like it tastes kind of sweet, on the occasional hit, but I am not really getting the full taste i feel. I have tried cleaning out my hookah completley, using a different hose, even using different coals. Currently I am using "Golden Charcoals", which all my friends use, and with the same shisha, similar sized hookahs, and the same set-up methods, I am getting the full flavors with their hookahs, and am even getting a buzz. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong, tip or suggestions for me...anything!!??Could it be that i am packing my bowl to full, and the shisha is sticking to the aluminum foil and burning? I try to make the shisha nice and loosely packed, but when I putting on my tinfoil i see that often the shisha is touching the bottom of the foil once its on. I am storing my shisha in my garage if that helps.PLEASE SOMEONE COME TO MY RESCUE AND SAVE ME FROM A TASTELESS SMOKE!!!
Tessai
Get some sort of tupperware that will only be used for storing shisha and empty out the contents of your shisha into it.Store it under your bed with the lid ajar so that air can get to it.Than the acclimation process begins.Leave it for about 5-6 hours and it should be ready to smoke. If you smoke outside than leave it in your garage using the same process.Watch out for ants!Try that and let us know. brettK
the only thing that i can think of is aclimate it for some time. Let it sit out in the garage for a couple hours open to get used to the humidity and all. I had some flavors that lost all there flavor and i let them acclimate for a bit and they werent as good as before but you could atleast tell what htey were. Tballa
Been having the EXACT same problem (my thread was "why no flavor?"). Let me know how it progresses because I'm trying to figure it out too and haven't been able to.
mushrat
Completely open, for an hour or 4 if you can...You say you use the same tobacco at your friends and it works great in their hookahs? Are you using the same BRAND or you bringing your stuff over there? As silly as it sounds, bring all your stuff, hookah, coals, ma'asell over to your friends house andlet THEM set your hookah up. See if they can get results with your stuff...Then see what they are doing differently.oh and yes, burning ma'asell on the bottom of your foil could explain the great smoke and no taste, I still prefer screens.
