Sheecool Frozen Base Experiements!

So a little while ago I tried to get myself a Sheecool large frozen hookah base on ebay. There was a bit of a mixup and I was a sent the the small sheecool hookah. I tried to exchange and what end up happening is I got a refund and was told to keep the hookah for my troubles. Free hookah woohoo! Sadly, the hookah looked like crap. However, I realize that my Mya Diva (with some grommets) would fit the base perfectly, woohoo again! This prompted me to take some measurements (for science!) to see how well said frozen base preforms.

For those that do not know, the Sheecool hookah base is a plastic base that is double walled and in between the walls is freezable silicon gel. The idea is that this will produce a cooler smoke than just water/ice for longer. I decided to measure the temperature to see if this is true.

After 15 minutes in the sheecool dropped to 40.5F and the Diva stayed the same.

After 45 minutes in the sheecol dropped to 37.9F and the Diva went up to 43.9F

Overall their claims are trueish. It does not get as cold as water+ice initially but it does reach a lower average temperature over time. I think the ultimate in coolness would be water+ice in the frozen base. Problem is, because of the double wall there is not as much room inside the base itself. Adding ice would not leave a lot of room for the water.

I used one for the first time in a lounge in Vegas. They had large bases and switched out the pipes which I think works better.

Good experiment! I like the idea, but it's just not for me, as I smoke Tangiers and Tangiers and ice in the vase don't work as well.

Shisha science is hokum!!

It was the tangiers god that created the hookah, the coals, the water and the shisha.

He then tested us by offering shitty quicklites and starbuzz, and commanded us to cure ourselves with Tangiers tobacco, and the ones who disobey his will shall see his wrath to no end in the form of bad ass sessions that taste like ass!!

It's been a while but I put one of my Egyptian Bases in the freezer overnight. 1 Hour Before smoking filled 3/4 of the way to my fill line with Crushed Ice then filled it with water then put it back in the freezer until I smoked.

Ice Cold, Baby!

May have to do that again now that I have a Mystique Mouth Tip and a Mya Freeze Hose.

I have had mixed feelings about freezing the stem and hoses. Grommet issues usually pop up. (pun intended)

I did one session with the sheecool and a mya freeze hose. It was ice ice cold watermelon & mint. It was awesome! I'm still on the hunt for one of larger sheecool bases (for cheaps of course) I would love to get my KM on it.
