Are You An Elitist?

Ok so here are a few question iv asked my self and i want to hear what you guys think about your self.

Ok so some of my freinds have said some things (not negative ) that made me ask myself am i a elitist

First : Heat management

Ok so to start off i dont think constantly adjusting heat makes me an elitist but someone once asked my why do i constatly mess with coals .So i answered so we constantly have epic smoke. im always getting a
new coal ready before the old one dies out . some of my freinds gets anoyed lucky my wife loves i do this .

Coals:
now where i think im a elitist is coals , For a long while now iv tried to get people on naturals(got one

buddy to switch).
I just dont really care for QL anymore i used to use them and was like fuck naturals ,but once i did try them i was amazed how much better smoke i got.
When smoking at a buddys (he uses nothing but AF QL) and I can notice a difference in taste of the tobacco and i someitmes let it slip that the taste is off(i try not to so as to not offend)

Bowls
Yes and no.
Now for normal tobacco i'll use any bowl from the small ones that come wtih pumpkins to a fruit bowl.
If i can find a way to smoke tobacco ill use it (once used a corn tortilla because i was out of foil as a cover)
But for tangires ill only use my tagires phunnel my buddy who i smoke tangires with has a caravan phunnel (i used to use same kind). I will only smoke out of my tangires phunnel for it as i like the way it smokes better than a caravan or a havana phunnel (havana phunnel seems to get to hot for my liking).Untill i get a crown phunnel and see how i like that only the tangires phunnel with be for me

Tobacco
No im not a brand snob ill try any brand almost any flavor

Packing
Yes/no
I generaly like to pack bowls because i prefer my packing to those of my freinds, dont know why just do.I guess with packing it is matter of opinion.

So when it comes to tangires im picky as shit i will only smoke tang i packed unless i know for a fact that the person who packed it knows what there doing. I dont know why my friends dont take the time to acclimate it right ? i hate the acclimation shock taste thats like smoking fire. my wife will only smoke tangires i packed . The first time she ever complemented me on my packing(she thinks she can pack a better bowl than me [one time she made me a epic bowl and i never heard the end of it])is she came outside picked up the hose was smoking while i was inside getting a drink and i came out and she asked witch brand pineapple i packed and why the phunnel , I told her it was tang and she was amazed how smooth and tasty it was and the thunder clouds that filled the garage with a mist of smoke.

Hookahs
Nope I belive you can get any hookah to smoke well but ill stick with my trusty km ice thank you very much. I once made a hookah from random parts screwed togeter and a juice jug becuase my base broke and stem was lost (it eventually showed up wonder where it went) and used the same juice jug for my mya stem.

Now here is something that i always wondered

You are not an elitist.

I however am a HUGE elitist...talk to me for 5 minutes and you will figure that out. I think it mostly comes down to knowing what is better then the rest by actually experiencing it. Ive been smoking for 5 years to the day, during the time I have been lucky enough to meet a lot of people in the business and try 90% of everything out there. I know what works and what doesnt as well as which is better. I dont think its a bad thing being an elitist it just means you enjoy the best of the best, now how can anyone think thats a bad thing?

I don't think I'm necessarily elitist... I just know what's best from my experience and I stick to it. So yeah, I'm not as experienced as Wade, but I still know what's good and what's not. I will be open with you and tell you my opinion in a respectful manner. Does that mean I am elitist? Some people will say yes, some will say no. Depends on who you ask.

Heat Management: I don't fuck with my coals. I put them on the bowl, and they stay there until it's time for new ones. New coals go where the previous coals were not. Meaning they touch the fresh spots of the bowl. Then the third round is back to where the first round were. And so on. So many people fiddle with coals so damn much and then wonder, "WHY MY COALS NO LAST LONG?!" It's cause you're fuckin' with them.

Coals: I only like Golden Canaries for Tangiers, and Coconaras/Cocomazayas for everything else. I don't bother trying any other kinds/brands these days.

Bowls: Tangiers Mini Phunnel or Small Phunnel, hands down. Egyptian bowl I still like for brands such as Nakhla and Al Fakher. Best bowls out there.

Tobacco: Tangiers, Nakhla, and Al Fakher. I only get Tangiers nowadays, though.

Packing: I only smoke Tangiers now, so I'm pretty picky about my packing. See my "How to Smoke Tangiers" thread in my signature to see how I do it. Or my videos.

Hookahs: Khalil Mamoon, Syrians (Al Nawras is best), and Mya Saray.

So, in conclusion, how do we define elitist? Where is the line drawn? I think really it depends on the person and how they perceive you and the knowledge you have to share.

Hey did you hear about the hipster who burned his mouth? Ya, he was eating pizza before it was cool.

I'm an elitist in that I've tried a lot of stuff that works better than my friends who smoke. They smoke at my place and are like "wow, this is smoking great", and I explain to them why, but for a lot of them they are just stuck in how they do things. Over the years I've always been evolving smoking methods, whether it just be heat management or hole pattern/size in the tinfoil or something bigger like different types of hookah's, different hoses, home-made stuff, different brands of tobacco, etc. I've learned what works for me and what doesn't, what I like and what I dont. I don't think that makes me snobby or elitist, as I'm willing to share that info with anyone, but at the same time, while smoking at a friends house I'll often think "damn, I wish he had tang, a phunnel, a km and a 3/4" id hose".

I'm no where near being an elitist. I break my phunnel bowls and now i'm stuck with an egyptian bowl that even after 5 smokes, i can't seem to get the packing down right.
