Herbal Shisha

Recommended Posts

Do any of you smoke herbal shisha instead of (or as well as) the regular tobacco varieties? I'm somewhat intrigued but haven't tried it because I like getting a buzz and don't think you'd get that from herbal.

Yeah, definitely no buzz from herbal. Herbal is most prominent in places like Canada where restrictions on tobacco have become so extreme. Then there's some people who prefer it even though tobacco is readily available to them just because they don't want to smoke tobacco, I guess. I've never tried it, but I'm sure it lacks the "fullness" of tobacco, just as the Shiazo Steam Stones that I tried did. Not sure how the flavor is with them. I hear the best brands to try are Hydro Herbal and Salaam.

I have smoked a lot of the different Hydro flavors..and they can really depend. Some are really strong, flavorful, and natural. Others...not so much. As its been said, no buzz at all. I can say I am about to try and experiment and mix some Hydro with some Zaghloul to see if I can get the buzz going with some of the better hydro flavors.

I smoked, soex (worst experience ever), zero n zero, hydro and the tea shisha. I have to say hydro is one of the best. Depending on the flavour, i really like the grape and the mango, the fruit mix isnt bad, and the pink rose isnt bad ethier. I hated the orange hydro. For the tea shisha, lemonade wasnt bad, grape was awesome, strawberry was okay.

But from all the herbals I smoked. no buzz at all.

I have not read the best things about cola flavored shishas, I can say I love Dr. 23 from Hydro which is supposed to be Dr. Pepper. It tasted a bit more like cherry cola to me though, but I do recomend it. I am going to try mixing some Zaghloul with the Dr 23 to see if I can get that great flavor with a buzz.

Haha sorry, it was just not quite my thing by itself. I did get it to smoke right, but I wont downplay it at all. If you are into tobacco flavors, then I am sure people will love it. Those who dont, not so much. I can say that, it did work! The two mixed great together and I got a nice buzz from it.

I've tried Hydro and Soex. The Soex was absolutely awful, to the point after a few puffs I emptied the whole bowl, threw out the pack, and repacked the bowl with non-herbal. Hydro was pretty decent flavour wise. You aren't gunna get a buzz from herbal regardless though, and if you do, it's just from oxygen deprivation.

For herbal, I can make my own that is tasty, so I do that. I go for herbal because tobacco is so incredibly expensive here. Maybe once I have my recipe perfected I'll move into homemade shisha tobacco instead of herbal using tea leaves.
